Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 3

Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 3. “It’s time to play the music, It’s time to light the lights…”. With game-weeks 1&2 done & dusted it’s time to sit down and hopefully enjoy GW3, our final game-week before the international break. Our game-week kicks off at lunchtime on Saturday as a pointless Bournemouth take on a City side who have yet to sparkle. This is followed by four 3pm kick-offs, all of which appear to be rather uninspiring. Saturday concludes with free scoring United hosting a Leicester City side who look somewhat rejuvenated this season.

At 1:30pm on Sunday Chelsea will look to build upon their win over Spurs as they face Spurs. At the same time West Brom host Stoke in what is likely to be an enthralling game!! 4pm sees Liverpool host Arsenal in a game that has a history of goals. Also at 4pm those that have sold and those have held onto Harry Kane will be biting their nails as he seeks to break his August duck as Burnley visit Wembley.

Any betting men on here with some tips for the fight? Not tips of who will win as that’s obvious but maybe which round or whether it will go all the way? At the moment I’m thinking Mayweather to take it in round 2 but not being a betting man I’m not sure if I can do an ‘each way’ type bet say betting on it being round 1, 2 or 3 without having to put 3 seperated bets on?

    My starting-XI score: 22 points.

    My benched score: 25 points.

I’ve never had a bench quite so consistently good before. I bought Mbemba for Francis for no good reason!

I’m basically relying on Spurs and WBA to flip this around. Please, somebody, just end me… laugh

Now, in seriousness, my team’s faltering. The individual players are still, on the whole, ones I’m happy with. I picked them all very recently! They’re just not cutting it, though, and I think I need to act before I fall too far behind in the transfer market. My midfield is dead! J Rod is also dead.

KDB is going tonight, regardless of what I choose to do, but a WC is very tempting. I had it in mind to activate it over the international break anyway. Alonso, Mane, etc. are all rising tonight.

      What do you guys think?

      • Brookyboy says:

How many transfers James ? I’d say that team doesn’t need a wc at this stage.

        • jamesimmo says:

I have 1 FT and 0.5m in the bank. I actually agree that it doesn’t *need* a WC but I can see it setting me up much better for the long-term haul.

      • DMC says:

Well, if you are certain that you will in deed WC then yeah, do it now and try to take advantage of price raises/drops.
If not, I’d hold any moves James. The gw is yet to finish, there’s an IB up next and when they get back they have CL in the midweek after gw4.

        • jamesimmo says:

DMC, you’re right, holding onto my FT would be wise. That’s what I think is the final push I need to press the WC button! Activating it will give me control over all injuries during the break.

How about a rage WC? Does that count?
Still in the Indian jungle and haven’t a solid tom tit for two weeks now. After a few beers and a bottle of scotch during which time I spent several hours crouching over a hole in the ground I lost my temper and played the wild card in order to give me something else to think about…..

Naughton has as many points as Lukaku – let that sink in

Morning all! My first decent result – 29 points with 6 (including arguably my best 5) to go. Got two clean sheets on my bench, but 2/2 on the pitch anyway. Should be flying if Kane repays my faith in him against Burnley!
