Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 3

Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 3. “It’s time to play the music, It’s time to light the lights…”. With game-weeks 1&2 done & dusted it’s time to sit down and hopefully enjoy GW3, our final game-week before the international break. Our game-week kicks off at lunchtime on Saturday as a pointless Bournemouth take on a City side who have yet to sparkle. This is followed by four 3pm kick-offs, all of which appear to be rather uninspiring. Saturday concludes with free scoring United hosting a Leicester City side who look somewhat rejuvenated this season.

At 1:30pm on Sunday Chelsea will look to build upon their win over Spurs as they face Spurs. At the same time West Brom host Stoke in what is likely to be an enthralling game!! 4pm sees Liverpool host Arsenal in a game that has a history of goals. Also at 4pm those that have sold and those have held onto Harry Kane will be biting their nails as he seeks to break his August duck as Burnley visit Wembley.

  1. This season hasn’t been going so well. Maybe I should design my kit and give the lads some excitement in their lives. Might help morale… smile

    • Looks like Spurs’ kit to me Pancho; maybe that’s why Kane can’t do anything right now!

    • You should probably change the team’s name! :hippo: smile

      • Too true DMC! Pancho’ Imperfection would do :/

        • Just kiddin mate – mine’s is a replica of yours and I’m not doing that bad so it ain’t for that reason!

    • Pancho

Thank you for cheering me up! I thought it was just me having a shocker!!

Let Operation: Green Arrow commence smile

      • Right on Mitro! Hopefully my start to the campaign can give others a laugh smile

        • Pancho and friends,

After a good first week, it’s been straight into the tank. KdB and Kane were main issues, but there were several other minor glitches (especially Alonso). I’ve given up on KdB, but take the lengthy Kane discussion to heart. My tentative plan is to have him back when he starts to rev it up, probably around Christmas, and I have a two-move method to get him back.
My first WC draft is as follows, and any and all comments are welcome:

        • Keeping him myself Ki but that looks decent enough without him.

    • Exactly the same amount of points as me Pancho. It’s pretty depressing lol

  2. Watch out Moses’ owners!

    • He ain’t getting in that Chelsea team!

      • Why would they be paying 40£ for him then?

      • Why though? Cant he easily replace Moses in the team? Would be harsh on Moses though cause his work rate on the field is pretty good.

      • They need some squad depth and he’s the ultimate utility player.

        • That too, but hasn’t he been doing that at Arsenal? I mean, why move if the first XI status remains the same, which is out of it or in and out?

        • I agree mate. He’s an odd one though, he’s good enough to play for a top 4 team but not yet good enough to actually displace anyone in one who plays regularly. Probably more suited to an Everton / any 5th to 8th team where he would have more guaranteed minutes.

      • They probably need to keep their quota of English players up too.

  3. What happened to Ramsey yesterday? If he is broken, then I need to use 2FTs to replace KDB and Ramsey.

    A. Micky + Silva

    B. Alli + Phillips/Fabregas

    • Can we see the rest of the team? I like option A there though.

    • I didn’t see the game but the situation at arsenal is unbearable. Sanchez’s body language (and actual play) after being subbed was dismal and like “what am I doing here” while other player’s comments on the need to chance the team, etc, means we should stay out of them completely. I also bought Rambo for this past gw so, yeah, I’m considering selling and wouldn’t fault anyone who would despite just bringing him in.
That’s a tricky exercise there and depends a bit on the rest of your team. I think a Spurs mid is better than any others (bar, maybe Liverpools) but, as a combo, A looks better for now, that is, while both Miki and Silva are playing and scoring.

  4. Not footy related
But :does anyone know of any good streaming sites for Game of Thrones?

  5. Well that was a lucky gw for me.. Somehow miracle made me get to the first place of my mini league.. :p was thinking about move jesus to morata.. So I could save some cash.. And at the end it would allow me to get alonso to my squad.. Any thoughts?

    • And how much better it could have been too! #newcastle

Yeah I’d do those moves for sure.

      • Would you be supporting Jesus to Morata if it weren’t freeing up the Alonso move? I’ve briefly considered it, purely as a straight swap, but not liking the idea of ditching Jesus right now.

  6. Would you do Mounie–>Firmino for a -4? Even if I have mane & Salah in my team?…or I could just Keep mounie which means I can get Kane in with 1 transfers for Morata/Lukaku. »

    • Don’t think I like the idea of being sat on a -4 with almost 2 weeks to go ahead of the deadline.

    • I wouldn’t want Mane, Salah & Firmino. They’re firing now, but when they have an off day you’re screwed. I also wouldn’t be thinking of ditching Morata or Lukaku at the moment!
