Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 3
Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 3. “It’s time to play the music, It’s time to light the lights…”. With game-weeks 1&2 done & dusted it’s time to sit down and hopefully enjoy GW3, our final game-week before the international break. Our game-week kicks off at lunchtime on Saturday as a pointless Bournemouth take on a City side who have yet to sparkle. This is followed by four 3pm kick-offs, all of which appear to be rather uninspiring. Saturday concludes with free scoring United hosting a Leicester City side who look somewhat rejuvenated this season.
At 1:30pm on Sunday Chelsea will look to build upon their win over Spurs as they face Spurs. At the same time West Brom host Stoke in what is likely to be an enthralling game!! 4pm sees Liverpool host Arsenal in a game that has a history of goals. Also at 4pm those that have sold and those have held onto Harry Kane will be biting their nails as he seeks to break his August duck as Burnley visit Wembley.

cheers lads
Cheers Elle I’m in and loaded up on Chelsea, RM and Monaco.
Now then, do you want us to just keep that code on here for us lot or go public on FB & Twitter? I’m voting for the former. Be a smaller league but I prefer to know who’s in it really.
Are they still using the same crap website that always crashes?
Oh hello Mr Positive Wasn’t that bad last season actually mate. Loaded up fine with no issues this time which it hasn’t always done, so fingers crossed and all that. Failing that I’d happily use Fantasy Pilkarzyki again in they’re doing one. The U21’s guys. Fact that they were happy to pop on here and support it went a long way with me.
I’ll set up a team so. Something else for me to moan about?
How’s the cycling going? 😉
I’ve put the bike in the shed until next year! 😉
Looks like most of your Vuelta riders did the same
Yeah that would perhaps be better. The site is flying, much better and nothing comparable to previous seasons although I agree that last year was already an upgrade. Pick your poison upfront though:
Everton fans – would you want Costa on a short-term loan? The Echo is not completely sold, mainly due to it being a short-term loan but I think someone of his calibre can only be a good thing. I’ll be all over him GW7 should he join!
And then what do Everton do in January?
Loan Ibra when Lukaku is number one 😉
haha
They should defo go for Vardy if they can. Offer 40, be prepared to pay 55. The team needs a scorer.
Oh, of course a long term solution would be better, but a short term bandage is better than no Vardy. And he’s better!
I agree Cookie. No point having a shed load of ammunition and no gun. I’d take Vardy over Costa every day of the week. Slap 50 on the table tomorrow and see what happens. Mahrez looking like he’s offski does complicate matters there though!
Yeah i don’t see the point in a 3/4 month deal for Costa.
If your boys got Vardy they could have a proper crack at the top 4. And I mean that.
I’ll say this – Vardy at Everton is great for Everton and a blessing in disguise for Leicester: frees up space for Slimani.
It’s the one piece we’re now missing. Really don’t see the point in all that spending if they don’t finish it off with a proper proven striker. I really, really like the look of Sandro but he does feel like one who needs time to bed in. Vardy would suit the team more than Giroud. Costa would be fine if they feel that then gives Sandro the time to adapt and take over. Get one though, getting none seems a waste of an otherwise good pre-seasons worth of heavy spending.
It’s either that or buy Slimani!!
Seriously though I agree with that you guys need a proper striker. Yakubu, Lukaku, Vardyu!
Ha ! If he goes to them till January Madrid won’t want him, he’ll be ruined. :big-lol:
Have we got a league setup for C.L?
Yup. 31736NF8
Im thinking about taking a 4PH…
Hear me out, havent done a transfer yet and rarely take hits
DDG Elliot
Hegazi Alonso Cedric Suttner Mason
Pogba KDB Willian Ritchie Carroll
Lukaku Kane JRod
Thinking KDB, Ritchie and JRod out for D.Silva, Atsu and Firmino
Keeps a City attacking player (that has played all the minutes so far), same with Newcastle’s Atsu (plus his preseason form was insane) and this way gives me a Liverpool attack for a West Brom attacker that hasnt done much…
I did the J-Rod to Firmino move last week and it just about paid off, although I think in the long run it’s surely a better bet. I can’t see J-Rod playing expansive football and bagging a hat-trick too often! KDB to Silva on the evidence this season seems a 50/50 but expect KDB to outscore across the season and probably to play more minutes too. Don’t know too much about Atsu so can’t help there but on the face of it I’d say the moves as a whole add up. Can you stall them for a week to guard against injuries?
Im biased.
I got crippled by glass ankles Silva before, got him in, injured then it seemed to be listed as 1 week return every week for the next two months! & now like me is older & balder.
afternoon all,
what is the general opinion of WC use – I tend to use it early to build team value that helps after xmas to build a good squad and that seems to be a strong strategy even more so now the Free Hit means you can switch your squad to catch any DGWs around Easter time. On the other hand I don’t feel I necessarily need major changes to my team and the price rises have been quite slow this year so perhaps team value won’t play such a role as in the past.
Thoughts?
SAF, if what you say is right re slow price movements this season, then I wouldn’t rush into using your wildcard if you don’t feel you need to.
Agreed, might as well hold on to it
