Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 30

Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 30. Our game-week kicks off with the friendly coming together of Man Utd and Liverpool at Old Trafford. A lunchtime kick off should mean that even the scousers are not completely pissed before kick off.

Five 3pm matches follow – dull Everton welcome all-conquering Brighton, Huddersfield entertain Swansea, Southampton take the long and likely pointless trip to Newcastle, doomed West Brom take on Leicester and the clarets meet in London as Burnley travel to West Ham.

The evening match sees Palace take the short trip north of the Thames to Chelsea.

Sunday sees two matches – the comedy show that is Arsenal host Watford before North London’s no.1 go to Bournemouth.

Our game-week ends as we see if our runaway leaders Man City can do it on a cold night in Stoke. They will.

Horse, you about? Lucky autosub with Pope’s 9 in for Adrian! Puts you on 37 and means you likely beat me in Division 3! I’m not at all upset though as it’ll like see you rise up inside the top 200 overall. Great ranking!

I know it’s early, but thinking about Baines in for Ogbonna. Look like a good move?

    AT says:

Hadn’t realised I only have 6 players for the BGW. Doh! 2FTs though and considering taking a hit, just not sure I want to buy Vardy back for more than my selling price with his fixtures and don’t have enough cash to be upgrading players (doing Sterling to Mane).

      DMC says:

Hi AT. I’m on 6 myself (well, 8 but 2 of them are Ibe and Wally) and I too have 2 FT. Thinking about buying Mane and Joshua King and that’s probably it. I don’t like my team for 32 with those moves so don’t want to add more deadwood to it just to field more players in 31. That could be different if I was planning to WC on 32, but I’m not sure on that either atm!

      Red Robbo says:

As long as most of your players are MID/FWD’s there’s not too much to worry about I think. Unless Speroni or Kenny start playing again next week I won’t have any defensive players and don’t think it will harm me a huge amount.

      • DMC says:

Yeah, that worries me a bit, given that 3 from those 6 are Begovic, Mariappa and Coleman. The others are Salah, Shaqiri and Firmino (+Wally and Ibe). Adding Mane and King gives me 3 defensive and, 5 attacking players + wally. That’s 8/9 so no hits required here I reckon.

    Pancho says:

Is it actually a good move to dump Mariappa for this GW as there’s a chance he gets negative points for goals conceded? Could pick up a non-playing defender and 0 its may be an improvement on him smile

    Eagle says:

So my main rival has decided to free hit this gw31 so this week he brought in William and Aubameyang while I prepared myself buying Walcott, Wilson and now Pritchard. He always seems to be making the right moves and he had brought in Mahrez for the past few weeks and has reaped rewards while I kept focusing on rubbish 31 players.

    Mitro says:

    Morning

How many players do you intend to have for GW31, I currently have 7 and will defo have 9 maybe 10 if I go for Zaha!

      DMC says:

I have 8 and 2 FT so 10. Deduct Ibe, Mariappa and perhaps Wally and it’s 7. I’m fine with that in terms of not taking hits to accomodate more.

      Smash10 says:

I currently have 8 but one is Mariappa and one is Quaner so not a lot there. I also have Theo which I hope is cramp. I’ll certainly make 2 free transfers to get another 2 most likely Shaq and Stanislas. I might get another as well as going to wild card possibly straight after

      • DMC says:

But have you seen the fixtures for 32 and 34? The ones presumably with a double in 34 don’t seem to have great fixtures in 32. Plus, 32 is right after the IB which adds doubts here and there. I don’t know. If WCing in 32 I would definely load up on 31 players and possibly hiting for it (it being only -2) but I’m not sure I’ll be WCing in 32 so no hits for me in 31.

        • Smash10 says:

I’ve not really looked to be honest. Have been hoping for the games to be arranged for sure but that’s concerning
