Just as the Covid restrictions are becoming eased FPL goes all retro on us and casts us back to the mid-2020’s; those glory days when we had a game or two nearly every day to watch in the evening sun. GW32 is spread over 7 separate days and goes from Friday night to sometime next Thursday. We’d say strap in for the ride but in all honesty it’ll be the mundane meandering that we really don’t miss much as the GW goes on, and on, and on…

It may be worth having a flutter to pass the time and if so here you can find some good betting apps on which to do so.

It is of course a DGW, of sorts, with Spurs going twice. They kick us off on Friday with an away trip to Goodison at 8pm.

Saturday is fractured with just the two games either side of the FA Cup semi and the funeral of Prince Philip, our favourite Duke #RIP. Newcastle try to contain Jesse at 12.30pm and ‘ye of little FPL excitement’ Wolves host the same in the form of Sheffield Utd at 8.15pm.

We could continue to list the fixtures one by one but in all honesty we are bored even writing this, never mind thinking about living through them all one by one, very slowly. Bring back Saturday at 3pm please… for Jeff’s sake. The rest are on the pic below, if you can stay awake long enough to read it all.

The games in full…

Keep track of all the action, the goals, the talking points, right here at FF247 Live Match Chat, an interactive chat which encourages you to keep involved and share your thoughts and emotions as the matches take place.

Good luck to absolutely everyone for Gameweek 32 from all at FF247!

    Kane replacement will be difficult
    Lacazette out injured now
    Not really that many options

Is Kane confirmed out in Gw34? Otherwise, why not hold him?

If this proposed league goes ahead and Eufa deny clubs permission to continue in existing competitions, will we see new clubs forming e.g. MUSFC who loan players from MUFC to and fro during the season.

Ok now that LEI beat SOT, we can be reasonably confident that SOTvCPL will be in DGW35 along with EVEvAVL, MNUvLEI and CHEvARS.

So in summary, we should have:
    GW34 – 30 Apr to 4 May – Normal 10 games
DGW35 – 7-13 May – 14 games. Doubles for SOT, CPL, AVL, EVE, CHE, ARS, MNU, LEI
BGW36 – 14-17 May – 8 games. Blanks for CHE, ARS, MNU, LEI
    GW37 – 18-19 May – 10 games
    GW38 – 23 May – 10 games

      Otieno,

Thanks very much for the post. I see some dilemmas against an earlier post where the implicit plan was to stack up West Ham and Leeds players-against their better fixtures. Off to the drawing board.
Thank goodness my minileague rivals don’t have FHs-I surely don’t.

Thanks otieno. The form players are in Chelsea (Pulisic, Mount), Man U (Greenwood, Cavani, Pogba) and Leicester (Nacho), but they have a blank following GW, if only I had my free hit left.

Sounds ridiculous. Defeats the whole idea of competition in football. It also sounds really boring as a spectacle

      • We all know that sadly nowadays football is based on lots of money. The thing is that some are greedier than others. Most likely a bunch of “entrepreneurs” have got the crazy idea is how to generate more dosh no

One of the main drivers behind all this is the likes of Sky and pay-TV that have poured money into football and commercialised it, they love to buy a new shirt season after season whilst moaning about the costs, they still pay though.

Also 99% of the “fans” are hypocrites, they don’t complain when some billionaire takes over their club and signs big players, they also don’t care that the grounds are sold off to another company that the clubs owners also own and use this method to inject a huge amount of money into the club that circumvents the “financial fair play” rules.

Fan’s going on about how great it is that the FA, Uefa and Fifa are standing up to the clubs when FA, Uefa and Fifa are so corrupt it beggars belief.

Furthermore there has been a lot of talk about having no promotion or relegation regarding the Premiership for years as well, all the clubs in the Premiership want this so they will be locked in, also the current payments to clubs that have been relegated is just as damaging to football, all the money should be paid to the promoted clubs when they get promoted, all the clubs should get the minimum payment for finishing 20th at the start of the new season (not at the start but at the end of the previous) so Norwich would get the full 20th Premiership payment once this seasons ends and if they finish 18th and get relegated they just get the top up payment for the two places higher and they get this in full and not over three seasons.

I want a super league with the best teams playing week in and week out.

        *EDIT
One of the main drivers behind all this is the likes of Sky and pay-TV that have poured money into football and commercialised it, the fans are the same, they love to buy a new shirt season after season whilst moaning about the costs, they still pay though.

      • inittowinit says:

So if all the TV money is funnelled into the ‘top’ 6 clubs and their ‘super’ league where does that leave the other 7000 odd professional, semi-pro, amateur and junior football clubs?

I’ll give you a real life example; our junior football club is about to benefit from an FA grant for a 4G pitch. This money, ultimately, comes from the TV companies. Having this allows us to provided not only better facilities for youth football but crucially means the kids can play and train consistently all season without half of their games / training sessions being cancelled due to the weather. This is just one small example out of thousands where the money trickles down to help communities and ultimately children. Take that away and what state does that leave our football pyramid in.

So yeah, enjoy your Man U vs Juve every Wednesday, just don’t go asking in 10, 15, 20 years why we aren’t producing any fresh talent from the bottom up anymore.

        • Terminator says:

The issue is 7000 clubs isn’t sustainable, the top clubs want and need more money to get better players as wages increase, the fans want instant results or the manager has to go, I don’t rate many English players, as most just seem to be only in it for the lifestyle and money, they are happy to site on the bench and take the money.

This breakaway has been on and off for years and now the teams are restricted financially something has to give otherwise the only option is unsustainable debt and clubs going bankrupt.

The clubs probably feel like they aren’t getting their fair share of the money, we all know that FIFA, UEFA and the FA are corrupt, they are sitting on billions of pounds/euros/dollars.

I understand what you are saying but as I have said something has to give, the fans want the best players for their clubs, they want instant results, they don’t want to pay for expensive tickets or shirts, the TV money isn’t what it used to be either so what is going to give in the end?

        • inittowinit says:

Perhaps they should stop putting themselves in ridiculous amounts of debt then and run their clubs responsibly. Barca alone are over €1 BILLION in debt. This smacks of a quick fix with no eye on the long term sustainability of either themselves or the game as a whole.

My own little club ensures it washes its own face, as many other thousands do, the rest should do the same or face the consequences. I don’t really give a shit that they want better or more expensive players, you cut your cloth accordingly. FFP was in part a way of forcing them to do this, but if you have to treat these people like children in order to get them to do that then there’s probably a wider issue in that they clearly aren’t ‘fit and proper’ owners and shouldn’t be allowed to take over in the first place.
