Decent score of 63 (-4) so far with Higuain an DLuiz to play. But defence looks rough for next week and who do you think makes way for Pogba? 1FT 2.3 itb

    Morning all!

Feeling fine after a Vardy cappo smile

Quick question for admin team – could MadHatter and I enter our all-conquering doubles team into the regulars’ league? Our collective brain works a helluva lot better than our individual ones and if we get our wc+bboost right we’re on for top 100 overall…probably jinxed it now!

How many SGW players you are planning to keep in WC34?

      Kralin says:

Maybe 2 Liverpool and possibly Vardy. One of the big calls this WC, I feel.

      What about you?

      • GoalMachine says:

I probably will get TAA (sell Robo – just for budget) – thinking of keeping Mane and sell Salah – same budget reason. But if TC is to be played in GW36, then Salah can be a good choice. Though both Salah and Mane are in golden boot race.
        (1) City – Honestly I have no confidence – with so many important matches in horizon, almost none will play DGW (may be Ederson perhaps). Aguero will strive for Golden boot, but he is not 100% fit. Problem is that even in SGW, one can fire, but you never know who.
        (2) Spurs – good fix, but not sure whom to get. None is in form – may be Kane for golden boot race.
        (3) GK – struggling. Ryan for Gw34, but his Gw35 is not good. Gunn, Foster are other 2 cheapos.
        (4) ARS – my team and so far I have not picked anyone in the season. Fix is quite tricky. smile
        (5) Utd – planning to ignore, but they have good Gw34 matchup. At least own’t get Pogba.
        (6) Wan-B – My only Gw1 player – sad to sell him.

Brighton is confusing me – they have good DGW34 and bad DGW35 – even 36-38 are not great.

        • Kralin says:

I share your feelings about W-B. He will be going, but I can’t bear to say goodbye to him yet. He’s been really handy this season.

I have the same feelings about Robertson, too, though moving him to TAA will take some of the pain away.

I feel less confused about Brighton when I limit myself to two of their players – Ryan and Duffy. Otherwise my brain starts to be scrambled.

      • GoalMachine says:

Hmm..you are correct about Brighton. max, Ryan and Duffy for Gw34 and then well decide depending on condition.

    • 105.2

In current draft I have only one – Mane.

    • 105.3
      AllanBrallan says:

Right now only TAA… But might bring someone else in ahead of 36….

    • 105.4
      Smash says:

      Mane and TAA I expect

    • 105.5
      Kop Warrior says:

Probably just Mane. And a plan to get Salah & Firmino for 36.

    • 105.6
      Zed Leppelin says:

      Mane

    AllanBrallan says:

    The wildcarding continues…
Will Kane be worth 12,5 or should i go auba/laca. Or Kane, Kun auba/laca? Sterling will have to go in that case….

  5. 107
    Smash says:

I quite like this except for a 4.2 bench midfielder. Hudson could be anyone. Might have 4.3 for a midfielder if Aguero drops in price or if Auba rises who knows. I still have bench boost and triple captain left. I fancy Salah for triple captain against Huddersfield so will have to get him back. I currently have no Watford and they have decent fixtures. I have no United, Pogba has gone back to being well Pogba uninterested. No Chelsea if I don’t go with Hudson, fixtures ain’t great and won’t be able to afford Hazard.

Goalkeepers. Mainly price Ryan two doubles and then rotates ok with Gunn.

    Defence.
TAA has great fixtures going forward. Stats are decent.
Kolasinac heat map is crazy he’s getting forward so much and Arsenal have decent enough fixtures.
Bennett is a regular in the Wolves team and is unlikely to be rotated.
Dunk like Ryan has two doubles. Would I prefer Duffy yeah but do not have the cash.
Bednerak. He’s a decent enabler not much around 3.9 plus has an ok double and plays every week.

    Midfield
Jota. More than capable of double digit scores and is playing out of position with very good fixtures.
Son. Plays Huddersfield next. Seems to be rested and Spurs have decent fixtures.
Sterling. City are capable of scoring against anyone and he’s usually involved.
Mane. Just a single GW but will want Liverpool assets back. Does he cover Salah?
Hudson-Odoi. Could be anyone. If he plays he will get points but that’s the question.

    Strikers
Aguero. Expect him to be fit and to feature a lot for remaining season. It’s Aguero at the end of the day
Jimenez. Easy pick really. Price, form and fixtures.
Kane. Fixtures are great, loads of home games and he’s going for golden boot.

    GoalMachine says:

I am exactly at same situation as last season. I am at 20k now (with Fabianski, Emerson and Haz to go in Gw33) – last season in the ambition of breaking into 10k, I took some off-template punt and ended other way at 42k. smile
Looks like again I have to do that to break into 10k – is it possible to follow the template and still rise to 10k in next 5 weeks? TC decision seems to be crucial now.

    • 108.1
      Kralin says:

I’m in a similar position, though have clawed my way (just) into the top 10k. I’m hoping that there are a few people in the top 20k who’ve pushed their luck, expended their chips, and who can be picked off with the BB and TC to come.

I would stick to the template because if you go off-piste you could tumble badly. So for exampe Bees’ 3 x Brighton defenders move is one I may make if I really needed to catch up. But I don’t really feel the need to make that sort of move.

And plan for 34 and 36 as well as 35.

      Kralin says:

I’d also add that make sure you play your own game. It is very easy to get distracted. It can take a bit of nerve sometimes so always best to remember this is just a game.

Example would be I stuck with Jiminez during the DGW, despite seeing Rashford in pretty much every RMT. As it happened, it didn’t really work out because the extra points I got for Jiminez were cancelled out by Smalling’s hopeless contribution. But you get the drift. If you really fancy someone then go for it. It’s much more satisfying. Most teams at this stage are similar anyway so those minor variations help with identity.
