We begin on Friday evening with Liverpool going to Southampton, for a game for once, not just a scouting mission. Saturday then sees just three games and all are at 3pm. Bournemouth entertain Burnley, newly relegated Huddersfield host newly invigorated Leicester and Palace take a trip up north to Newcastle

Just the one game on Sunday as Everton welcome Arsenal before Chelsea ‘welcome’ West Ham on Monday to see us out for the final BGW of the season.

  1. WC draft: 0.7ITB (for Kane & Eric to Salah and Firmino).
    Ryan Foster
    TAA Doherty Duffy Kolasinac Bednarek
    Mane Sterling Erikson Son Jota
    Kane Jimenez Deeney

    • Its a nice squad Stone. The question we all will face I guess is rotation. I think Sterling could be rotated. I am not sure about having 3 Spurs attack given they play City.

  2. Afternoon gents!

Thanks for the reply re: doubles team joining regulars’ league at this late stage.

Just to clarify for next season, could we enter our doubles team alongside our singles or is that too much like a multiple entry/a bit unfair?

I’ve seen some wise words regarding avoiding the Brighton temptation on WC…are we imagining they’re all literally on the beach until August and next season?

    • hi webstar.

Brighton are not safe. Its more that for post next GW, what are you going to do with them if you have say 3?

      • Bench the bloody lot + transfer out 1 by 1 ha.

Seriously though, 1 would be the keeper who has ok fixtures until last 2 gweeks. Other 2 shuffle out over 2 weeks?

        • Would you really want to waste transfers on squad players though? I have 2 in my squad (Ryan and Duffy). Whether it stays with that or a Stephens enabler, I wont be planning on using any transfers on them.

    • Dreamers makes the point well. Brighton, despite being a very short drive from the beach, are far from it. If they lose to Bournemouth, then Cardiff, they will be in very deep water. Not waving, but drowning.

I had a feeling history may be repeating itself for them this season: good cup run then relegation.

The Cardiff game is the one I hope will be a paranoid 0-0, or 1-0.

      • Love the punning.

Personally don’t see anybody beyond Cardiff going down but I see its still more open than I thought down at the bottom.

        Lots of food for thought.

    • Enter it next season by all means. Hopefully you understand why it wouldn’t be the ‘done thing’ to jump in on this years.

  3. Everton v Arsenal

    • Didn’t expect that.

    • Cheers Mitro!

    • I wonder how accurate it is?

      This is mine

      • It’s based on 7 seasons only and it’s weighted so the past seasons depreciate. I’ve had this discussion with them on twitter and we had to agree to disagree that it should simply be an all time average with a minimum amount of seasons played with zero weighting. There’s one on Reddit somewhere which does it ‘my way’.

        • On that short summation, think I agree with you Init.

So you could have the season of your career 7 years ago and it’s not worth your mate getting the same rank last season??

        • Do you have the link for it init?

        • Yes. He’d be rated higher because it was more recent. Or at the least his one would be given much more importance using their method. It’s fundamentally flawed. I prefer flat playing fields which don’t simply pander to the maker of the tool.

        • I’ll try and find it later Mitro. Bit busy watching us ruin Arsenal’s season right now 😉

        • We are awful! Laca is the only one who is playing well! This must be kola worst game of the season!

      • Thats a great rank Mitro! Not too far off myself but agree with Init, think it should be equal weighting each season!

    • I think mines broken

    • My first season was 12/13 which I started in early March I think just to get the hang of it before actually starting the first full season in 13/14, and my OR was 2,5 million smile So such an automatic way of calculating the rank with the team id would for me always be hugely flawed (although it this case it would not have a lot of weight as the past seasons depreciate)… Have to agree with Init that his way of thinking it is more correct… Why not just calculate the average of all your season ranks, that’s it…

  4. Yikes Laca taken a very early knock!

  5. Everton goal. Good. Get Auba soon
