Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 34
Days of yore
Back to a relatively bog standard GW, certainly in so much as there are 10 games and every team features just once. Albeit one after the other in this new endless procession of games that we have to endure to please TV audiences. Surely there wouldn’t be an outcrying of grief, even from the woke crowd, if just occasionally they lumped a few together at 3pm on Saturday for old times sake?! Just take a game involving a couple of crap teams who even their own supporters would be glad of a break from and sneak it un untelevised. Newcastle vs Arsenal springs to mind!
But we digress… GW 34 begins on Friday as Saints attempt to exorcise their (one of now many) 9-0 demons vs Leicester.
Man City kick Saturday off for us by no doubt going yet another win closer to the title when they visit Palace at 12:30pm. Brighton & Leeds get the prime ‘Stelling (Jeff)’ spot at 3pm before fellow CL rotatinaires (new word alert!) Chelsea host Fulham at 5:30pm. Everton and Villa see us out at 8pm.
There may or may not be a game on Sunday at 2pm, depending on how quickly we can get ourselves appointed to the PL Fixtures Committee. Man Utd and Liverpool do battle at 4:30pm, in a tribute to by-gone-days, before Spurs attempt to kill off most peoples GW by labouring against an already relegated Sheffield Utd at 7.15pm.
West Brom will seek to find new ways to throw after the safety rope vs Wolves at 6pm on Monday and then Burnley will attempt to see to Moyes’ CL dream at 8.15.
The games in full…

Everton v Aston Villa
Is Keane not a regular starter? Resting?
has just come back from a hamstring injury, so probably being cautious. Plus Everton have double games next week
Thanks…may go for Godfrey. Looks like a regular starter. Hope he plays both.
Was eyeing Keane, thanks for the heads up on Godfrey, Bees.
Keane had an absolute shocker last game he played from memory. Think Bees is right Godfrey might be better bet
It’s the second week in a row Keane’s been benched, annoyingly. If he doesn’t make an appearance I’ll have Konsa to come on from my bench instead! So I guess I’m rooting for Villa now!
What about Coleman!
Following today’s pattern, who wins 2-0? EVE or Villa?
Villa please !
Could go either way. Pickford is looking good.
Thinking of BB next week. Any ideas on how to spice this team up with 2FTs and 0.2m?
Forster and Adams aren’t ideal
Forster and Rudiger would be the doubts for a bench boost 15, but not much cash to work with.
Rudiger, Castagne, Shaw, Greenwood, Nacho & Holding don’t play in gw36. You have a FH chip?
I do
Phew. Rudiger the odd ball. With CL I doubt he will play both. Problem is, can’t think of a good replacement right now.
Yeah tricky. I’d rather have Watkins than Adams too…
ok, gonna be BB’ing this week.
FTx2 and 0.2m ITB
Feeling I need to ditch the following to have a decent BB:
Leno, Forster, Keane, Rudiger and Phillips – but that would mean an 12ph
Who should I concentrate on, and are there any of the clubs to avoid?
I’d expect most of those to be fine by next week so just remove Keane and Forster
What about Leno??? Seems he is benched yet again. Cant risk him.
2 free transfers and 0.2 in the bank. I have no idea what to do here
Hi Smash I would probably do Rudiger to Coleman/Everton defender after CL midweek as he a risk of playing only 1/2 games of the potential 3 over the next 2 gws and hold the other
0.1 short but don’t think Coleman plays two games a week these days
I am in the same boat as you Smash.
Son and Vydra to Eze and Watkins?
Yeah I’ve wondered if this is the route to go Zaha and Watkins for example. Will have to see what Son does today
Thing is with this double gameweek we have some superb looking options with just one match.
If you can hold your nerve on SGW players, this may be the play this week.
We all love a doubler though!
I wouldn’t bench Lingard! Transfers are tricky.
Who would you bench though? A defender I guess with a double
At present I would bench Rudiger, Konsa could also sit if you bring somone in. Lingard could haul, whilst I doubt any defenders go big.
2FT 0.4 ITB.
Want to roll one FT. How do I waste the other one? Any ideas?
Rudgier to Konsa or Lindelof
OR
Son to Greenwood/Rashford.
Rudiger to Konsa not a bad shout.
Probably Rudiger out, although none of the options are that inspiring. May be an Everton defender? See how Jota is this week, bit of a toss-up v Son.
Cool
