The long game

You may have noticed that there are a lot of games this week. If you haven’t and this is the first you know of it then you may be in a bit of trouble here. There are 15 in total, spanning 7 days in total, with at least a game on each day. 8 teams play twice and 1 other (Man Utd, aka Bruno) play thrice.

We shan’t bore you with our usual pithy comments about each one, as 15 of those would probably be pushing the envelope a bit. Other than to say that come the end of it Champions will most likely have been crowned, some CL places will have been sorted and at least 1 more team will probably have been relegated.

And of course, as is fitting with this season; GW35 ends on Thursday at about 10.30pm and GW36 begins about 20 hours later on the Friday. The line-ups will be interesting then, if nothing else!

    • Picking Vardy over Nacho has been one of my blunders of the season. Almost rivals how I kept faith in Jimenez for so long at the start of the season, smh.

  3. Anyone else tempted by City assets for the run in? I know you’ve got the inevitable pep gamble, but I’m looking at the players who won’t be playing the champions league final. I’m genuinely tempted by Bruno to Sterling for the last few as a nice differential.

    • Im going Vardy to Aguero

    • A bit too much differential for me with his goals and price.

      • His points per game is pretty much the same as KdB – and better than Foden. And I’m thinking he’ll get more minutes as Pep will want to save Mahrez and Foden for the champions league. Plus Sterling will be wanting to prove a point to Southgate.

    • Torres is tempting me too…

    • I am worried about the usual rotation. Dias in DEF maybe?

  5. So I have already used the 1 FT to return Kane back to my squad. I was planning to take a -4 PH to bring in someone so I can field 10 next week. I am looking at Dallas but money wise I can only do that with sacrificing either Rudiger or Shaw. I considered Holding to an AVL defender but their remaining matches look tough and I already have Martinez. Holding just isn’t worth enough to get me to Dallas. So which would you choose Shaw or Rudiger to Dallas? Are there any decent defender options at 4.7 if I were to dump Holding?

    • I would prefer to keep Shaw against relegated Fulham and beached Wolves. For Holding, Coufal could be an option (BHA, WBA, SOU)

      • That was a thought but then I worried about having 2 WHU defenders. I suppose that might not be terrible in a BGW.

        • Nat Phillips or another one of the Leeds full backs.

        • Just looked at Walker-Peters £4.7m (FUL, LEE, whm) but that would give you double Sou def

        • I think it will be double some team to make it happen with my budget.

    • Would you be open to Raphinha for Pulisic? Leeds have a good run of fixtures
