The long game

You may have noticed that there are a lot of games this week. If you haven’t and this is the first you know of it then you may be in a bit of trouble here. There are 15 in total, spanning 7 days in total, with at least a game on each day. 8 teams play twice and 1 other (Man Utd, aka Bruno) play thrice.

We shan’t bore you with our usual pithy comments about each one, as 15 of those would probably be pushing the envelope a bit. Other than to say that come the end of it Champions will most likely have been crowned, some CL places will have been sorted and at least 1 more team will probably have been relegated.

And of course, as is fitting with this season; GW35 ends on Thursday at about 10.30pm and GW36 begins about 20 hours later on the Friday. The line-ups will be interesting then, if nothing else!

  1. Hey guys, I know it’s early, but I have a bit of a dilemma here, and need a bit of advice. I still have a wc left, and I’m pretty well set up for this week, with 1 transfer I’ll be up to 11 players. So should I use the wc this week or hold on for 1 more week and then use it. I’m tempted to hold it for 1 more week. What do ye think. I have 1ft and 0.1m.

    • Id see if it was possible to get a better team than what you have at the moment. If you can manage to get a better team for this week with the future GWs in mind, I’d use the WC ASAP.

      • Thanks bud, yeah I think I’m leaning that way now.

        • I’d use the wildcard now. There’s no fixture swings and the longer you leave it the smaller the benefit. I can see a few transfers is like to make such as the keeper, a couple of your midfielders and two of the strikers.

  2. Well going Rashford over Greenwood has been a disaster

  3. I am trying to do Ineanacho &Shaw to Bamford & Dallas for -4. However I am 0.1 short. Hopping Salah would go up in price or someone else.
    Would be nice if we can go in credit for a week and pay it back after smile

  4. Any ideas here? I think these will be the three players that go so I can get 11 out. Could ditch Rudiger and keep Shaw I guess.

    A) Dallas, Son, Bamford
    B) Mitchell, Son, DCL
    C) Dallas, Mahrez, DCL
    D) anything else

    • Option a the best. Could consider raph in midfield as a cheaper option.

    • Definitely A with the remaining fixtures.
      Keep Shaw, with Maguire out for the rest of the season at lest we know he will be 100% starter.

      • Cash is the issue with Shaw, as in I just don’t have it. Think he only has one game left as well

        • On the other hand, DCL is a very attractive option.
          I am seriously considering to captain him. Sheffield have shipped 35 goal on their travels and the last time they had a CS away was last June. It could be a massacre.

        • Yep that’s what tempts me with DCL. Not that explosive but I’m sure he will score v Sheffield United

      • Yeah I like DCL for this week. Depends if Mitchell can get me by this week I guess but he looks first choice

  5. What do I do for gw36? Only 7 starters, 6 really cos Davies prob want start. 1ft and 1.8itb. annoyed with myself made a mistake going for Shaw instead of an Everton defender. Left myself in trouble. Having a good season just inside top 6k OR. Looks like I’m going to have to take a -8 to get a half decent team out. Any thoughts?

  6. My miserable 6 man team (doubt Foster starts). 1 FH.
    Out: Fofana, Bruno (Greenwood with young legs should start), Nacho
    In: Dallas, Son, – Antonio or Bamford for 8ph. (hate it, but what to do…think I will get the pts back in following games). Or anything else?
    Bamford or Antonio guys?

    • Antonio is a bit too fragile and you have Lingard to cover West Ham, so thinking logically, perhaps Bamford.
