The long game

You may have noticed that there are a lot of games this week. If you haven’t and this is the first you know of it then you may be in a bit of trouble here. There are 15 in total, spanning 7 days in total, with at least a game on each day. 8 teams play twice and 1 other (Man Utd, aka Bruno) play thrice.

We shan’t bore you with our usual pithy comments about each one, as 15 of those would probably be pushing the envelope a bit. Other than to say that come the end of it Champions will most likely have been crowned, some CL places will have been sorted and at least 1 more team will probably have been relegated.

And of course, as is fitting with this season; GW35 ends on Thursday at about 10.30pm and GW36 begins about 20 hours later on the Friday. The line-ups will be interesting then, if nothing else!

The games in full…

  1. 1FT, 0.3ITB. Thinking Bruno to Son/Bale and Nacho to Wood/Bamford/Antonio (-4). May go with Son and Wood, eyeing Burnley’s game against Shef Utd.

    • Bruno to Son looks good.

You will want the points from the guy that will help make Coady end up on zero points. crazy Antonio seems a bit fragile so maybe Bamford? Not sure on Wood.

  2. Hey gang, looking forward to Fri deadline will only need 1 FT to field 11. Would you replace Azpi or Nacho? Initial thought is Azpi > Dallas but wondering if I’ve missed a better option. Cheers.

    • I think Azpi is the correct call there. Decent fixtures for Dallas whereas Azpi realistically may have only the Leicester game left.

    • I’d be pretty nervous not owning Kane for the next two !

      • Spot on Brooky.
Kane is a must. He will be fighting to the last drop for the golden boot and won’t leave in the hands of inconsistent Sarah yes

      • Nah Kane is a dead duck now. You’ll get a much better return from Antonio/Bamford/DCL and use the extra money wiser

    • Thanks all. Think Azpi > Dallas is my move. I made my bed a couple weeks back sticking with Son over Kane so time will tell! (Ps – I let my 7 yr old pick and he said Sonny so here we are smile )

  3. Chelsea v Arsenal

  4. Smash,
I’ve the same problem. I’d like to replace the same 3, with your option B, as they’ll set me up for year end. My difficulty is it’s a -8, where I have a 51 point lead in my ML. Advice?

  5. Don’t really know if its a Jorginho fault or Kepa’s fault……crazy goal.

    • Nevertheless, good news.
Keep the good work Arsenal, give WHU chance for the UCL.
That’s what happens when you leave Rudiger out cool

    • Jorginho is at fault there but what a stupid goal to concede

  6. Evening everyone. Playing my FH this week and trying to do a few different things. Here are two drafts. Basically I have 7 nailed on players and will fill in the gaps around that. Those 7 are :

Fabri, Mitchell, Digne, Trent, Salah, DCL and Kane.

    • The gametime risk of the Man City players worries me a bit. What about Bale as a differential instead of Mahrez or Kun? I don’t think Mane is worth the cash even as a punt.

      • Hey SF! Yeah Mane is definitely a punt that I’m not sure on. Bale and Son are two I’ve considered over Mane.
