The long game

You may have noticed that there are a lot of games this week. If you haven’t and this is the first you know of it then you may be in a bit of trouble here. There are 15 in total, spanning 7 days in total, with at least a game on each day. 8 teams play twice and 1 other (Man Utd, aka Bruno) play thrice.

We shan’t bore you with our usual pithy comments about each one, as 15 of those would probably be pushing the envelope a bit. Other than to say that come the end of it Champions will most likely have been crowned, some CL places will have been sorted and at least 1 more team will probably have been relegated.

And of course, as is fitting with this season; GW35 ends on Thursday at about 10.30pm and GW36 begins about 20 hours later on the Friday. The line-ups will be interesting then, if nothing else!

  2. LIV look almost too comfortable. Hopefully they don’t forget to score some goals!

    • It’s the same always, waste a gazillion chances then throw the lead in the ladt minute – or overtime even… It’s the Liverpool way, destiny… of sorts…

    • Salah’s owners should be hoping for more from him as this is it for this GW, unless they think he is about to score his first goal at Old Trafford.

      • They no longer have the drive to win that they use to have. They look rather ordinary this year.

  3. How many hits you guys taking next week? I only have 7 players and 1FH…yikes bad

    • I have 8 so my plan is to get Kane back and then I hit for someone so I can field 10.

    • So far I am planning for 1 but we ain’t through half of this triple circus and no one knows what might happen before it’s over unknw

      • Oh yeah, there’s still a ton of football to play. No changes anytime soon. That was just my plan.

    • 9 and 1FT. May go with 10 or take a hit for 11.

      • Yeah I’ve got 8 with two free transfers and can’t decide to hit to get 11. One does include Vydra though

        • Smash, many got rid of either Kane or Son.
          Despite the blanc yesterday is Kane a must with the two upcoming good home games or do we prioritise bringing back Bamford?

        • Yeah I sold Son but did plan to bring him back. Yeah Son, Dallas and Bamford for Nacho, Rashford and Shaw is something I’m considering for a -4. Exact cash. Even considering letting Bruno go as he prob only has one game left

        • For now I am looking at 4ph
          Nacho and Greenford out for Kane and a mid at up to 5.9, Soucek or JWP but most likely it will be Raphinha to finish the season with the Leeds trio due to the favourable fixtures.

    • 10 for me and 1ft… probably sell nacho actually since United got Fulham after their blank…

  4. In the distant past I brought Forster In on my WC specially for GW36 and now it seems he’s unlikely to play. Would you take a hit for a keeper just for one week?

    I’ve got 2FT and those are planned for Mount & Vardy to Kane & Lingard

    • You seem to have inside knowledge that has you ranked well, what do you think Forster won’t play?

      • Haasenhuttl has said straight that McCarthy and Forster will rotate in the next games. I’m just hoping that McCarthy plays one in 35. Otherwise I’ll probably do Mendy to Fabianski for -4 based on the final fuxtures

  5. Do you think bruno will start tomorrow?

    • I think he will given the opposition.

    • Around 8 million managers are gasping to find out and another small crafty bunch who went for deferential captain pick.
      By the looks of it, Ole has decided to exhaust him to the limit, so my guess is yes.

    • Brun unlikely to start, played nearly the full Roma game.

      AWB, Shaw rested after half-time. Rashford played only 17 minutes came on for Cavani.

      May come on for a cameo ten minute appearance.

    • I hope not. Dont even own him not to mind captaining him. His points return this gw could break me

      • That makes two of us, my ML leader (by 65 points) has captained him, he does not have Bruno, I have Bruno as Captain

    • Yeah for sure. Judging by Ole comments it will either be Tues/Thurs where there will be mass changes

      • With Man Utd having no love for Pool and Pool chasing Leicester and Leicester being the middle game, would it be fair to anticipate risking mass rotation for Leicester, full strength vs Pool and strong side against Villa.

  6. Early days yet but think I have got myself in to a mess for gw36. Only 7 starters and 1ft. I brought in Shaw but thinking I should have gone digne instead as he could well get more gametime than Shaw over 35 and 36. How many hits will it be worth taking?
