Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 36

Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Gameweek 36. Back to normality this week – 10 fixtures spread over three days, everyone plays just the once, no doubles, no blanks, probably a few wildcards.

It’s Liverpool who again kick off our game-week as they host relegation bound Stoke. It’s a must win for the Potters if they are to have any realistic chance of staying up….Crouchie time?

Five 3pm kick offs and it’s all about the relegation battle as Brighton go to Burnley, Palace host Leicester, Huddersfield welcome Everton, West Brom travel to Newcastle and Bournemouth can inflict further trouble on fellow south coasters Southampton.

The evening sees Swansea looking for a much needed three points as Chelsea come to town.
Sunday is Manc today. First up the Champions take the pleasurable trip to West Ham before Wenger gets a chance to say goodbye to Old Trafford.

We end on Monday as Spurs look to bounce back from recent Wembley disappointments as they host Watford.

  1. I am looking at options for the DGW next. Do you think its worth a pop with Giroud? I seem to want to avoid Kane even though the world wants him.

    • Not having Kane can hurt you.
I would get rid of both Vardy+Firmino tbh…

      Not sure about Giroud.
Maybe a punt on Rashford now Luk is gone?

      • I could do this but its a -8 hit

    • I can get in Lacazette, or Rashford (if lukaku is out injured) + a strong midfielder or defender. Im using my bench boost so i will be maximising this. I will tinker all week laugh

      • If money is no issue, no need to rush…
I would wait for the Spurs game tomorrow to be over…
Even the LIV game in Rome…
        And then decide…

        p.s. a -8 on a DGW is actually a -4…plus it’s a BB gw for most…so you ll be fine ; ) …

    • I think you have to have Kane really. He’ll be one of, if not the, most popular captain choice next week, especially if he bags tomorrow night.

      • Yup I know. I would Ive insane not to given his fixtures too! If lukaku is injured it plays into my game as i can get in Rashford

  2. Init, how did you survive City’s game mate ?
Was scrolling down the pages now and realised you did not choose Team1 with Sterling+Jesus sad

Hope it didn’t hurt you too much sad .

    • We’ve been out all day so just largely ignored it! But yeah, absolutely gutted really, possibly the worst fantasy decision I ever made that trying to defend against Salah instead of attacking with City. The other ‘plus’ with it being that I could keep Lukaku against a weak Arsenal… Probably ruined my season in all honesty. Oh and I had double Utd defence too! Wanted to beat my best rank but that’s unlikely now. But yeah, other than that it’s fine….. smile

      • hope u have a gd 1 next week innit. i might do willian to tadic 😉

      • Your OR did not suffer much as I can see…
Could have been much worse with all that happened today…

At least you are well set for the DGW.
Luk will become Jesus I assume ?
Christensen is a weak link as well I believe ?

        You keeping Mo ?

        Re: my team…
I’ve put all my money on Spurs…
So let’s how that works out ))) …

        • Probably didn’t because of Tadic but that’s a safety net which means treading water rather than making progress which I would have.

Lukaku goes for Jesus and then it’s either GroB for Sterling and keep Salah (which may be wise for 38) or he goes and I can sort Christenson. The first is bang on the money so probably means an early move which I don’t like doing but I reckon I will just do it if I can survive any price changes until after the Liverpool game. Just to be sure Salah doesn’t get injured.

Good luck tomorrow with TC Kane.

        • Hey Innit, it could have been worse. This is the team of the guy who was OR 1 for the past 20 weeks. Needless to say with a GW rank of 5.5mil and 0 total on his whole defence he’s blown it

        • @SAF – Wow !
          That ‘s gotta hurt !
He’s probably blown the season away in only 1gw.

        • Thanks SAF’s! Am I allowed to swear at you without causing offence?! smile

        • Hey Innit, of course. My wife does all the time ?

  3. Hey guys prepping for DGW with BB
    1 ft 0.6m itb
Thinking I might lose Salah (crazy I know) but I’m chasing and want as many dgwers as poss…plus his cash would help.
    How’s this. -8 hit looking
    Salah > Pogba
    Lowton > Monreal
    Adrian > DDG
it’ll leave Hennessy and Milo with a SGW but 13 DGWers assuming Fernandez is fit.

Any other option would really help.
    Thx.

    • I think I’d take a pop on Arnie over Pogba. I’m assuming Erik would be out of reach?

  4. Thoughts on this lot for 37?

  5. Guys who is the best cheap (4·4) def for gw37. Thinking van Der hoorn but is there any better options?

    • Probably not, unfortunately.

      • Hey init, would you do Eriksson and van Der hoorn for mane and huderfield Defoe Der for a hit? Already got alli and Kane though. If I do swop mane I’d need to play gundogan for dgw but then won’t have liverpool cover for gw38.

        • I’ve no idea what you just said mate smile

        • Haha autocorrect!!

would you do Eriksson and van Der hoorn for mane and huderfield Defender for a hit? Already got alli and Kane though so. If I dont take mane out I’d be forced to play gundogan for the dgw. But if I do take mane out then I won’t have any liverpool cover for gw38.

        • Given Huddersfield’s fixtures I think you may as well. If it was Salah then it may be a different story.

  6. HL! Congrats I reckon?

    • Yep 😉 !
      Now it’s ours to lose.
Well, only an idiot would lose it now…let’s put it like that smile !!
      Totally unexpected but open-handedly welcomed ))) …

      • I don’t see how you possibly can. Did you watch their game? Early red aside it’s still a bit of a shock result.

        • Did not see the game tbh…
Followed it on livescore as I was watching UTD-ARS live.

Did see all the goals after…on internet…
Even their coach mentioned they had a crap game…

          About the peno…
It was a foul…but not sure it was a red card…
Tbh, nobody from the team reacted so probably it was the right decision from the official…

          Fun fact smile :

“2002: Diego Simeone scores Lazio’s 3rd goal in their 4-2 win over inter, handing Juventus the Scudetto.

Today: Giovanni Simeone scored a hattrick for Fiorentina to beat Napoli 3-0 and bring Juventus within touching distance of the title.”

        • There’s a fair chance he becomes the new coach too if Allegri wanders off to Chelsea or Arsenal?

        • Nah…
          Zidane has the smallest odds…

        • Probably. Madrid are a piece of work. Sacked for only winning 3 CL’s in a row! #maybe 😉

        • Well…
There are always 2 sides of everything : ) …
