Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 37

Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 37. Both the title itself and the final relegation spot could be decided this week, depending on the results. Conversely we could very well be saying the exact same thing next week. The difference being that if not this week then next week they definitely will be.

We begin with the televised game that we’ve all been waiting for all season. Cancel your plans and settle down as Burnley, who have nothing to play for go to Everton, who have nothing to play for. This is not quite what Friday night games were invented for!

To be fair to the TV companies every other live game this weekend does actually have something riding on it beginning with Spurs trying to guarantee themselves a CL spot as they visit Bournemouth in the early Saturday game. There are then just two 3pm games as West Ham host Southampton in a dead rubber and Wolves go for 7th against a resurgent Fulham.

Cardiff then stare relegation in the face at 5.30pm as Palace pay them a visit before the first part of the title saga gets underway at 7.45pm as Liverpool go to Newcastle.

Sunday sees us with three games as both Chelsea vs Watford and Huddersfield vs Man United begin at 2pm in a battle to see who wants CL qualification the least. Arsenal will chip in with their own bid later at 4.30pm as they host Brighton.

Man City will then see us out on Monday by either bidding to stay in the title race or indeed winning it, depending on Liverpool’s result on Saturday. Leicester will be the team looking to scupper either ambition.

The games in full…

Keep track of all the action, the goals, the talking points, right here at FF247 Live Match Chat, an interactive chat which encourages you to keep involved and share your thoughts and emotions as the matches take place.

  1. And here we are, no more “next” tab.
Still 15 days though so let’s enjoy it while it’s here! Zero points for me, with 11 to go, including captain! smile
    Any Digne captainers out there?

    • Probably not that many, although my main ML rival bought him so I’m now behind the curve somewhat! Fortunately (maybe) we went different Capos so there’s that plus I went Shaw instead so I’m still hopeful!

      • Having looked at yours and his, it’s clear that you need an Aguero haul and Salah to blank. You seem to have won the mind games battle for now though as he clearly went for the not obvious cap, meaning he probably thought you’d “have” to do exactly that to outscored him. Whatever you said to him in footy, it seems to be working!!

  2. Didn’t see that coming…
And, perhaps most significantly, one point less than Ederson, albeit with a game in hand.

  3. Averages so far.

    • Thanks. Got a bit of catching up to do there.

  4. OMG…just one more week. I am going to miss the insanity and fun of FF. What do you guys do during the summer break?
I can’t stand the MLS, Basketball, Baseball, or American Football…I am doomed.
    But…tennis is on the horizon…

    • Africa Cup of Nations
      Copa America
      Women’s World Cup
      Under 20 World Cup
      Under 21 European Championship

Football aplenty. I’ll be fine. smile

    • Cricket WC is starting laugh

    • I step into a freezer then get thawed out once the game is relaunched.

Read a few books Bees. Get into 19th Century literature. Give War and Peace a go. You’ll love it. It’s full of romance and wonder, and some of the best drawn characters ever.

      That’ll pass the time.

      • Haha, like your suggestion…will find a large freezer..
I read a lot too Kralin. Just kidding, have a fun life in the Bay Area..

        • I have overly romantic notions of the Bay Area, brought about by seeing Vertigo at a young age.

    • Everyone gets a long and well earned rest. And then at 9am on May 13th they come back in and we start planning the pre-season articles.

      • My only surprise is that you’re not planning a series of ‘lessons-learnt’ articles. With brutal honesty being the watchword.

‘I don’t think I’ll ever recover from bringing Walcott in for Richarlison.’

‘Those Mitrovic points coming off the bench show what a lucky f*cker I am my tactical nous’

‘I am the dullest manager in the history of fantasy football’

‘I let my embalmed cat decide my transfers’

        • That could be interesting / painful/eye opening

        • And cat embalming.

        • I’d like that, reminds me a bit of standing on the shoulders of giants… Would no doubt be very useful smile

    • The 3 big golf majors all fall before next season smile

    • Yeah pretty much tennis and golf for me, Roland Garros, Wimbledon, US Open and the British Open in golf…

      • US Open in both golf and tennis smile

    • Speak to other people could also be an option.

  5. So I’m 35 points ahead in my mini league.my team is first one

    • You’ll win that one, Smash, unless one of the Silvas turn on the magic!

    • Think you’re good for the win there! Good luck!

  6. I’m hoping for a Cap Jota hattie today. He could prove to be a handy differential! Or not…eek.

On the bad side, I did Alderweireld -> Shaw and not Digne. But the GW is still young!

Can’t believe there’s only one GW left!

    • Let’s hope Shaw ends the season as he began it.

I’m seriously thinking of playing 4 at the back next week, given I have Valery on the bench this.

    • No only problem is that Young is not still young, so the United defense is prone for conceding, let’s hope for the best smile
