Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 37
Flurry
As if to epitomise the season before it we have no time to dwell on GW36 as the next one is upon us already. GW37 itself will seemingly pass in a relative blur though as it is but two days long; crammed in midweek, much like the newly excited crowds will be in the stands.
Rotation will probably hit hard this week so we hope you have a bench full of talent to cope. We begin early on Tuesday with a rather odd deadline time of 4.30pm. We have four games to begin with and the other six on Wednesday, which looks as follows;
The games in full…

Trossard last on my bench done nothing for 7 GW. This werk not going well so far made worse by Bruno getting that assist
For the first time in many years of my FPL, I forgot to check my team and the deadline. The season is/was over for me already. Can’t wait to have the next one soon(with the crowd).
Teams look pumped up in front of crowd.
How likely is Aguero to start for City’s final game of the season? Surely Pep will want to give the first team a rest before the champions league final, and let Aguero have a run out with the fans present?
Sounds like he’s winning the fitness battle for the game:

At this stage I think he will be involved, but it’s unclear how much of the match he’s fit enough to play.
As of yesterday, Pep wasn’t sure whether he will take part in the UCL final.
I would say maybe the last 10-15 minutes before the farewell ceremony.
There are 6 days between the game against LEI and the CL final so Pep should definitely start his full first team
This is an interesting thread on twitter about Pep and how much rest he’s given his players in the past before a UCL final: https://twitter.com/anna_woodberry/status/1393907265078538243
AHEAD OF THE 2009 UCL FINAL
Two players had ~4 days rest before the final.
Six had ~14 days rest.
Two had ~17 days rest.
One had ~25 days rest.
Rough Average: 13.72 days
AHEAD OF THE 2011 UCL FINAL
Four players had ~7 days rest.
One had ~13 days rest.
Five had ~17 days rest.
One had ~20 days rest.
Rough Average: 13.27 days
So he seems to like giving his players long rests. So will he do something similar with Man City?
He won’t be able to match these average.
The maximum rest is 10 days starting from tomorrow.
It’s not about whether or not he can match it. It’s giving food for thought that historically, Pep has been happy to go into the UCL final with his players having had a relatively long break.
After losing it will be pretty much full strength. Not even sure he’s nailed to start with fitness. Don’t think it will be 90 anyway
I had a strong feeling I would regret benching Rudiger, probably going to end up with a CS as well and 3 bonus
I benched Bamford typical when I start him 1 point twice in a row
Finally Rudiger is paying back for his previous absence
Surprised to see Leicester……..do they not want to be in UCL? They are going to be 5th by goal difference.
In a small ML with a Chelsea fan and Liverpool fan. After FA cup final I said Leicester would lose this game and ultimately miss out on the champions league spots again.
Nacho got 1 back…….obviously I sold him.
If it finishes like this, which is very likely, Man U have the silver wrapped.
That means, we need to think about replacements for Bruno, Shaw and anyone else as the B team will start the last game with the big guns doing short cameo at the end.
I would have expected them to be rested anyway with the relatively short turn around between games. Think Greenwood will still start the Wolves game and get at least 60-70 minutes.
Salah will be my replacement for Bruno
I’m not sure any of the first team will play and even if they do they won’t want to get injured. Think I’ll sell Bruno
Be a similar team that started against Leicester for United on Sunday
Hardly I just think we are better on the whole. They won the cup final I’m sure they are happy enough. They are a weaker team than City, United, Chelsea and Liverpool
