Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 4

After two bumper game-weeks, perhaps GW3 was merely a reality check. It matters not though as GW4 is upon us already, with fresh promise. It’s quite the condensed affair too, beginning on Saturday and ending on Sunday. Almost old school. Almost.

It begins with Leicester hosting Liverpool in the early game, giving many a Salah captainer a weekend long headache should he fail to produce. Five 3pm games follow in quick succession. Brighton will attempt to keep the Mitro show at bay. Bournemouth will hope to somehow halt Alonso’s inevitable march in to everybody’s fantasy team once again. Zaha will be looking to put one more nail in Hughes’ coffin. Wally will attempt to make amends for Richarlison’s stupidity. And Arnie will make a last ditch attempt to stop Pellegrini being fed to the Wolves.

The evening game should pique some interest as Man City play host to Ashley’s mercenaries. A classic case of an evening captain over an early one once again, in reverse? Perhaps!

Sunday sees us out with three away games for Arsenal, Man United and Spurs, going to Cardiff, Burnley and Watford respectively.

  1. Evening, how is everyone’s week going so far?

So… I’ve given Mahrez a few weeks to prove himself and he has failed massively. (I was going to sell last week before Rich ruined those plans!)

I’m tempted by Hazard but I always seem to fall into that trap every year. Should I just go Mane instead? Thinking of making the moves tonight as price changes went a bit mental last week

    Thanks laugh

    • I’d be tempted to give Hazard a whirl given the next couple of fixtures. Especially as you already have Salah, I assume anyway, never know with you!

      • Haha. Yea I do. Can you ‘imagine’ laugh

Haz is def the front runner, will try and watch some highlights later and confirm then. Firmino to Mitro or Arnie will be needed to fund as well but hoping a -4 saves the wildcard

    • 46 for me with MickyT remaining.

Miffed that West Ham conceded so late that that messed up the fabianski clean sheet.

      Jamie

      • Jamie, he doesn’t actually care how you or anyone did, he just wants answers on Mane v Hazard smile

        • Both seem like half decent options lol

        • If you use that “tactic” in order to get replies then you just gotta weather the storm too smile

        • Lol Init, looks like I responded to the wrong comment.

Hazard short term with Chelsea fixtures better than Liverpool.

          Satisfied ;’)

        • Oops 😉

        • Me? I don’t care, I don’t even know who he is smile

  2. Copying me there m8?
Told you about Hazard last night

  3. 44 pts with Mkhi and Auba to go.
Anyone here has seen the Everton games? I’ve the Everton keepers and Pickford seems to be useless or is it just bad luck? Thought Huddersfield would be a CS at least

    • Kun also, I’ve got the same dilemma, but I’m not looking to change it until I play the old WC. Went this way to only have 9m tied up in two keepers and that’s working at least. Another save point for Pickford today too. Will likely go with an additional .5 or .6 in that position when I do WC, but holding fast for now.

      • Yeah that’s what I plan to do as well but I don’t plan to WC anytime soon and have a feeling I’m going to miss out on a lot of GK pts.

  4. Got to play it game by game really, see which team has the easiest game to get you points, Salah out is a good option they got a few hard games now

  5. Anyone triggering the wc with a 2 week break approaching.

    • A few will, I suspect, especially with Chelsea looking OK and with nice fixtures on the horizon – nice next two fixtures, anyway, when a lot of other clubs will be mired down with CL football.

Good opportunity to sort out the bench as well.

I did give it a thought earlier but will probably limp on until the next IB. Will be able to address the Chelsea stuff with 2FTs.

    • I think I’m pretty happy with my side. Don’t think I’m close to using wildcard

    • I am considering it with some fires to fight.

  6. Evening,

    Thoughts on playing a WC:

    I have 2FT

    Thanks

    • Not for me

    • Your wildcard side looks like you want to play 4/4/3, which I’m sure you don’t.

Mitrovic has City up next, so it may be worth delaying his arrival.

However I think you’ll be able to sort things with 2FTs. All your injured players now will hopefully be fit by GW5. That may make things look sunnier.

    • I like that WC team Rip. You might be able to achieve it over a few weeks though so maybe don’t need to hit the button just yet.

      • Thanks I’m feeling more confident after the above comments. I definitely need Alonso first

        • Yes, I’m in the same boat.

I have to choose between bringing him in for Robertson or respecting the First Triumvirate and adding him to Mendy and Robertson.

But luckily I have a bit of time to ponder all this.
