After two bumper game-weeks, perhaps GW3 was merely a reality check. It matters not though as GW4 is upon us already, with fresh promise. It’s quite the condensed affair too, beginning on Saturday and ending on Sunday. Almost old school. Almost.

It begins with Leicester hosting Liverpool in the early game, giving many a Salah captainer a weekend long headache should he fail to produce. Five 3pm games follow in quick succession. Brighton will attempt to keep the Mitro show at bay. Bournemouth will hope to somehow halt Alonso’s inevitable march in to everybody’s fantasy team once again. Zaha will be looking to put one more nail in Hughes’ coffin. Wally will attempt to make amends for Richarlison’s stupidity. And Arnie will make a last ditch attempt to stop Pellegrini being fed to the Wolves.

The evening game should pique some interest as Man City play host to Ashley’s mercenaries. A classic case of an evening captain over an early one once again, in reverse? Perhaps!

Sunday sees us out with three away games for Arsenal, Man United and Spurs, going to Cardiff, Burnley and Watford respectively.

If you enter and win a prize you have to have commented on the site at least 5 times for 8 consecutive months between August 2018 and March 2019 or you will not be considered for a prize. That’s basically 1 comment a week all season, we think that’s a reasonable ask to be considered a ‘regular’.

  1. Evening lads. 57 points here with Eriksen and Pererya left to play so hoping for a high scoring game tomorrow.

    Would you guys drop King to Ings before his price drops again? Or should I hit that WC button?

    • That’s really good. What do you need a wild card for. How many would you realistically change

      • Not many really. I was thinking the team is good but it relies on my defenders a lot. It’s my forward line that needs revamping I think.

        • Just needs someone else for King

        • Yeah I’ll have a look. Have 7 mil to replace him so Arnie could be an option but West Ham are terrible right now.

        • Probably Mitrovic long term. Problem is he has City away next

        • Yeah but if City keep going as they are then he’s up for the one goal. 😉

        • I have King as well and Zaha springs to mind. Nice run of fixtures. Mitrovic after City.

        • you wont be able to roll the transfer to GW6 since you already have 2 now. id say use the 1 transfer for kings to mitro. yes they have city away but i think they can score 1/2 goals even if they end up losing.

        • You never know Mkhi should do well against Cardiff.

    • Ings can’t play in GW6 so moving for him now may be premature.

    • Remember Ings is ineligible to play Liverpool for game week 6.

  2. Well my colour co-ordination doesn’t seem to be working and stuff Morata at home to Cardiff he cannot score and Mitrovic can score away to Man City and he’s going up in price so!

    • I think that instead of colour coordination – an element of your side I’ve always enjoyed, admittedly – perhaps you should consider numerology as a tool to guide team selection. Maybe only get players whose letters add up to even numbers (or odd, if they’re playing away).

  3. Hi guys. I’m half tempted to wc but bit undecided.
    What do you all think

    • No WC required I think u should choose between Mane ad salah to strength ur forward and defence

      • Definitely want to keep Mane this season. I think he could be a must have. Unsure on selling Salah with his huge ownership mate but I agree my forward line could do with upgrade

    • It depends on who you want to bring in.
      I think you are ok, other than see if you can Luiz > Alonso and Shaw to someone else.
      B Silva is also starting to concern me.

        I’m prepared to get rid of Bernardo myself maybe to Pedro, that would free up money. I’d like to bring Mendy in, considering changing Ederson to a 4.5 keeper to try upgrade other places.
        Don’t know if it’s a waste of a wc but my bench is terrible.

    • Channel your anger into creative writing. Write a poem about how you feel.

      Just don’t start it like:

    • Far too early.

      This gamesweek isn’t over yet plus half your side may get injured on international duty.

      • Surely, Wait. Ad how do I avoid transferring Hazard in for GW5 if he be fit to play on 15 Sept

        • It can be easy in fantasy football to become fixated on one player. It’s happened enough times to me. But there are always other players. Other ways of balancing the side.

          Wait to see what happens in the internationals.
