Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 4

After two bumper game-weeks, perhaps GW3 was merely a reality check. It matters not though as GW4 is upon us already, with fresh promise. It’s quite the condensed affair too, beginning on Saturday and ending on Sunday. Almost old school. Almost.

It begins with Leicester hosting Liverpool in the early game, giving many a Salah captainer a weekend long headache should he fail to produce. Five 3pm games follow in quick succession. Brighton will attempt to keep the Mitro show at bay. Bournemouth will hope to somehow halt Alonso’s inevitable march in to everybody’s fantasy team once again. Zaha will be looking to put one more nail in Hughes’ coffin. Wally will attempt to make amends for Richarlison’s stupidity. And Arnie will make a last ditch attempt to stop Pellegrini being fed to the Wolves.

The evening game should pique some interest as Man City play host to Ashley’s mercenaries. A classic case of an evening captain over an early one once again, in reverse? Perhaps!

Sunday sees us out with three away games for Arsenal, Man United and Spurs, going to Cardiff, Burnley and Watford respectively.

What’s everyone planning ahead of the international break? Saving or activating the WC? I’m unsure whether to or not, having a play around this is one option against my original squad, do people think it’s worth it or could tweak with a transfer or two?

      Red Robbo says:

No need for a WC there. Your most pressing wants I’m guessing are Mane & Hazard, who are a straight swap for Salah & Bilva, and then tinker the rest into place.

Not for me igy, a few tweaks over a few weeks and you’ve got what you ‘want’, right now. But of course that’ll alter anyway, and you may well want to be back at square one anyway come then. If it does indeed look remarkedly different at that point then perhaps then that’s the time to do it, in a few weeks.

Not worth it. Son returning will eventually put moura’s spot at risk. You can do Richarlison after he has missed his final match. I’d say hold on all of those, then you can do a double next week if needed

What’s the thinking on Spurs defence LONG TERM, Trippier worth the investment perhaps?

    Hi folks ,

    0.5 ITB with 1FT.

    Anything I should do?

Morning! So has the Salah exodus begun? Think I regret bringing in Walcott for Richarlson.

      Kralin says:

I’m planning to assess the Walcott impact, if any, after their Arsenal game. I’m sure he’ll bounce back.

My mid has done me proud so far this week:

      Salah/Walcott/B Silva/Mkhi/bench

The only one who could change after the break is B Silva to D Silva. But I have Alonso to get in and King, probably, to move on.

I did rich to wally too. And I think that’s the right move 4 out of 5 times… This was the fifth time….

      • Kralin says:

I was out yesterday afternoon and when I got back and saw what had happened, just chuckled grimly. It was one of those things. I have no doubt at all Moura will score today. I hope he does.

        • Zed Leppelin says:

Pedro scored too smile It’s one of those things, you go for Wally for the security of starts, Pedro comes from the bench and scores… Rich still on my bench though, rather happy with that at the moment

        • Smash says:

Yeah I wish I just benched Richarlson. Thought he would have gone down more than he actually has. Kind of just want to transfer them back.

        • Kralin says:

It’s always good to get instant gratification from a player – a brace from Walcott would have been nice yesterday – but you have to give them a run in the side. Play the long game. I’m not too crestfallen. You have to see the funny side of things.

        • Zed Leppelin says:

“but you have to give them a run in the side. Play the long game. I’m not too crestfallen. You have to see the funny side of things”

Exactly the reason I kept Richarlison and didn’t buy Walcott 😉

        • Smash says:

Ha ha yep he will get another week and then probably go back to Richarlson. I have nothing really too pressing anyway depending on what problems the international break brings

Morning all…how your teams doing? Just 40 points for me so far and just Miki left! Suffered the inevitable trolling from Wally, Obi-Wan replaces Zaha with 0 points and Bilva’s 1 pt cameo didn’t help much either sad

Not rushing into anything with the IB but always looking ahead and think my next moves are gonna be:

    Salah/Bilva > Mane/Hazard

    What do you all reckon?

      GentleBenAKA says:

Hi RedKev I’m considering the exact same transfers, which I can do so long as there are no price rises/falls. The risks of not having Salah have been discussed in detail on this site. However Salah and Bilva got me 3 this week and 8 last week whereas if I’d had Mané and Hazard they would have got me 21 this week and 11 last week.

      • RedKev says:

Hi GentleBen! Yeah same here…if prices change I won’t be able to do it! Thing is at Bilva’s price there’s not a lot of strong options so if he’s benched a lot there’s no quick and easy fix! Mane/Haz are both nailed so feels a lot safer…thinking it’s better to have 2 strong players than 1 very strong + 1 weak …plus Mane seems to pick up bonus a lot more than Salah!
Have you watched much Liverpool….know who’s getting in the better positions/taking more shots etc?

        • GentleBenAKA says:

RedKev I think at BSilva price Pedro is better however despite his scores I’m worried about his minutes played (25 this week, 68 last week) particularly when thinking about long term.

I’ve not seen much of the Liverpool games however I’m told by people who have that there are chances aplenty for all of Salah/Mane/Firmino and others in that team, and it is pure luck that the points have tended to migrate towards Mané.
