Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 4

After two bumper game-weeks, perhaps GW3 was merely a reality check. It matters not though as GW4 is upon us already, with fresh promise. It’s quite the condensed affair too, beginning on Saturday and ending on Sunday. Almost old school. Almost.

It begins with Leicester hosting Liverpool in the early game, giving many a Salah captainer a weekend long headache should he fail to produce. Five 3pm games follow in quick succession. Brighton will attempt to keep the Mitro show at bay. Bournemouth will hope to somehow halt Alonso’s inevitable march in to everybody’s fantasy team once again. Zaha will be looking to put one more nail in Hughes’ coffin. Wally will attempt to make amends for Richarlison’s stupidity. And Arnie will make a last ditch attempt to stop Pellegrini being fed to the Wolves.

The evening game should pique some interest as Man City play host to Ashley’s mercenaries. A classic case of an evening captain over an early one once again, in reverse? Perhaps!

Sunday sees us out with three away games for Arsenal, Man United and Spurs, going to Cardiff, Burnley and Watford respectively.

  1. Mkhi on bench ffs

    • He’ll come on for ozil or Ramsey and get 30 mins. This game week has been rough for rotation. I think it’s something we’ll just have to get used to.

    • How does Ozil start ? Dearie me.That Arsenal midfield is getting as bad as City’s for knowing who will start from week to week.

      • Ramsey will be out injured soon enough and it won’t be a problem

  2. No Mkhi.

    • Rough gw for rotation. Hopefully he can haul. I brought him in and have advice to others to bring him. Crushing but hopefully he hauls something a la Pedro if he comes on

      • Lets hope so. But I see Torreira coming in as 1 sub and then either Welbeck or Mkhi. depending on Ozil and Ramsey’s performance. Guess Auba and Laca will get full 90.

  3. Arsenal

    • Another rotation headache :noshake:

    • As an FPL manager, I am sad to see Mkhi on bench. But as a Gunner, I would like to see how this 4-2-3-1 formation and combination works (especially Ramsey and Bellerin linkup) – this is the first time Emery is trying the combi in PL.

I have Stephens with a 1 point coming in for Mkhi – even if he comes in for 10-15 mins., will get 1. So I kind of end my GW with 43 points – going in reverse direction every GW. smile

      • Let’s see. By the way, your ex gunner Sagna scored his first MLS goal for Montreal last night.

  4. Cardiff
Etheridge, Manga, Morrison, Bamba, Bennett, Ralls, Hoilett, Arter, Camarasa, Reid, Ward.
Subs: Murphy, Peltier, Cunningham, Harris, Paterson, Madine, Zahore.
    Arsenal
Cech, Bellerin, Sokratis, Mustafi, Monreal, Xhaka, Guendouzi, Ramsey, Aubameyang, Lacazette, Ozil.
Subs: Leno,Lichtsteiner, Holding, Elneny, Torreira, Mkhitaryan, Welbeck.

    • Ward apparently an OoP mid stàrtung up top?

  5. Has anyone found any specific GW to play WC? ..like a big fixture swing.

    • I think we need to find out first which of the two bandwagons- Walcott/Pereyra won this week or have they both failed 🙂

  6. Price of Stephens (Brighton: 4.5m) is on the verge of dropping. What people are doing by selling him? I do not see many 3-5-2 or, 4-5-1 lineups.

    • Don’t really care if Stephens drops. Part of the reason I play 3-4-3 is that he’s guaranteed to play and at least get 2 points

      • I generally do the same till GW33 and then change it in GW34 when playing BB – so a drop is not a desired outcome for that position. Unfortunately he is not a George Boyd who can give a good point. Anyway, till WC there is no other option than keep and forget.
