Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 4

Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 4. No Friday fixture this time, but a big slate of games on Saturday to get the GW going. In all there is 8 fixtures and kicking it off with a lunch time affair is Southampton hosting the crap again Manchester United.

That early game is followed by six 3pm games. We have Lampard’s boys taking on Lundstram’s crew, along with that we also see Palace vs Villa and Newcastle vs Watford. Simultaneously we also get Leicester hosting Bournemouth, Man City taking apart Brighton and West Ham versus Norwich in the battle of the cheap strikers. The day is then closed out by Burnley vs Liverpool which should see 21 players inside the Clarets’ penalty area most of the game.

Sunday brings us the remaining two fixtures. The early game sees Everton play host to Wolves, should be an interesting game between one team who doesn’t know how to attack versus a team who is too tired to attack. The late game has the best game on paper of the game-week. Arsenal (just lost to LFC) takes on Spurs (just lost at home to Toon) in what should help us to start to figure out which team will finish 20 points behind second place in 3rd and which team will finish 25 points behind second place in 4th.

The games in full…

My VC has outscored my captain every week and I’m over 20 points worse off than if I captained my VCs. I think it was similar last season. I may just have to swap them every week just before the deadline.

    Evening all!

Wow! I’m dying in FPL this season! FFIX has me dropping to sub 1.5 million OR, being away and not seeing any football since GW1 has been a massive detriment to my team.

Feel like I need some guidance as I’m so out of touch, obviously we have the international break but I’m keen to start planning.

My original plan was to get Salah back but I think I’ve made a huge error ditching TAA and bringing in the Man U players. I’m happy to take hits to rectify things but I’m wary of making a bad situation worse.

I’m think TAA in for AWB, have £1.6 ITB.

Strangely I’m not feeling too down about it as after all it’s just a game but I’d be lying if I said it wasn’t important to me that I improve!

Team looks alright. It’s all early days still. Rank don’t matter yet as it’s all pretty close

I am going for cap Salah next week, hoping after today they are still mates and pass to one another if 1 has the better chance.

To my point they have yet both to score big in the same game. Hoping Salah is the big show that week. That a side your team looks good, if you heard the city results with out watching it you would have assumed sterling did something!

That’s hardly out of kilter with what most (who have been paying attention) have.

      Hey Rosco
Your team looks good on any given week this team could smash it!
Been a bit unlucky this week, ..having Kun cappo was the difference !
One thing that sticks out imo is that your team is almost too balanced…?
I.e you really can’t argue with it, every position looks good with selection of popular mid priced players, however to get all the big hitters you need a couple of playing cheapos to make it happen.
My theory is to get the proven big boys in first and build a team around them, with a bit of tinkering you’ll find those cheap nuggets that get those 2-3-5-6 points on a regular basis.
Lots of us thought that expensive defenders would be enough but with the odd exception it’s not quite worked out that way..so far?
You can’t have em all, but you can have the premiums that produce the most regular.
Salah / Sterling / Aguero …start with these and the rest will sort it’s self out.
Maybe throw up a template WC team for us to rate?
      Good luck.

Sitting on a handsome 34 points with Kane and Digne to come tomorrow. Think it’s time to WC tonight and get a few players before their price rises. Hope everyone else is faring better.

If a wildcard is activated today, it will stay active until the deadline for GW5?
