Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 4
Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 4. No Friday fixture this time, but a big slate of games on Saturday to get the GW going. In all there is 8 fixtures and kicking it off with a lunch time affair is Southampton hosting the crap again Manchester United.
That early game is followed by six 3pm games. We have Lampard’s boys taking on Lundstram’s crew, along with that we also see Palace vs Villa and Newcastle vs Watford. Simultaneously we also get Leicester hosting Bournemouth, Man City taking apart Brighton and West Ham versus Norwich in the battle of the cheap strikers. The day is then closed out by Burnley vs Liverpool which should see 21 players inside the Clarets’ penalty area most of the game.
Sunday brings us the remaining two fixtures. The early game sees Everton play host to Wolves, should be an interesting game between one team who doesn’t know how to attack versus a team who is too tired to attack. The late game has the best game on paper of the game-week. Arsenal (just lost to LFC) takes on Spurs (just lost at home to Toon) in what should help us to start to figure out which team will finish 20 points behind second place in 3rd and which team will finish 25 points behind second place in 4th.

Just watched the Pool game on match of the day and saw the tantrum that Mane had with Salah not passing to him before being subbed. Competition and passion is a good thing but subconsciously would Mane think twice about passing in a similar situation in the future?
Probably is the truth. Salah had two obvious passes at different times and didnt today
They’d captained themselves in their fantasy sides. That was all it was.
It didn’t seem that big a deal to me because Liverpool were in cruise control by then.
Do you think had it been a tight game then Salah plays those two balls through to Firmino and Mane instead of trying the more complicated thing? Clearly he used the TC chip like GP!

On the subject of assists check out KdB, blimey, 5 assists so far for him.

Thinking about my WC over the international break, old team on the left, any advice? Worth it or stick it out?
Good team. Kelly has “maybe” one game left before he is back on the bench. Personally, I like to have all players playing when I WC. Maybe KDB instead of Sterling….just a thought.

You could change up to 5 players there – Rico, Kelly, Perez, (and maybe Jota and Kane). That is verging on WC territory.
If you were to WC, I would honestly go with three City attackers and work backwards.

What wrong am I doing here guys? I know KDB is one of them. Do I need to WC? Haven’t seen this big a drop in ranking in one single week. Is it that my team is real bad or is it just sheer bad luck??

I don’t have a problem with much of your team at all. So I’m thinking it’s just luck and a bad spell (which we all go through from time to time).
It was unusually quiet weeks from both Sterling and Salah and lots of us were affected. I wouldn’t have used Greenwood ahead of either Dendoncker or Mings but that’s a minor issue.
Come back on later today after the games (once we see where Digne and Kane’s points stand) and then we’ll talk about WC.
You have to deal with Laporte, Greenwood and Rico right now I think.
It’s not bad luck but you are thin on City attackers. Laporte to whoever (maybe an enabler like Lundstram) and Kane to Kun should fix that.
I know Kane has good fixtures etc (and he may yet save your GW). But I think I’d prefer the league’s leading goalscorer for now.
Weeks like this can be grim I know.

No cleansheet and assist in the last 3 games. And I prefer Balbuena vs Pukki than Robertson vs Barnes

For form, Sterling, KDB and Salah are all on 9.0 or 9.2 with Aguero on 10.

I tried to do a WC with all 4, reviewing the team I went with I am 10 points to the good (with a bit of luck) did james over kdb and Haller over a none started. Using a back 3 again. Just hoping kdb slows up a bit, it still hurt not having him.
I have all 4, but my defence is thread bare
I think it makes the rest of the team too weak in other areas but I’ve not properly looked
