Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 4
Welcome back! Isn’t international football wonderful?
Since the conclusion of GW3, the transfer window has, as the wallies on Sky Sports would say, slammed shut! It was a rather quiet deadline day this time around…Liverpool signed some Swedish bloke who Newcastle didn’t want. Newcastle, the bastions of decency, rescued Wissa from Brentford. United signed a 23-year-old to solve their goalkeeping woes. City signed Gianluigi Donnarumma. Only time will tell which Manchester club chose best. Arsenal signed a defender who’s only 6ft. Oh, and Raheem Sterling remained at Chelsea…
Anyway, onto GW4.
We kick off at 12:30 as Arsenal welcome a Forest side who were humbled by West Ham last time out. Will Nuno have a job come GW5? Turns out he didn’t have a job come GW4!!
We have an astonishing five games at 15:00. None are likely to set pulses racing. The most interesting of the lot sees an Everton side who have started well host Jack Grealish’s old club, Aston Villa, who haven’t enjoyed a great start. Bournemouth host Brighton, Palace host Sunderland, Fulham host Leeds, while bottom of the table Wolves travel to Newcastle.
At 17:30 Spurs make the short trip to the London stadium to face a West Ham side hoping to build on their impressive win against Forest.
Is there really a need for a game at 20:00 on a Saturday? No is the answer, but TV bosses disagree and as a result Brentford host Chelsea.
Onto Sunday and an out of form Liverpool, with three wins from three, travel to Burnley at 14:00.
The gameweek concludes with a game which Sky will call a blockbuster, but hasn’t been a blockbuster for some time, the Manchester derby. It must be a while since City entered the derby behind United in the table, but back-to-back defeats see Pep’s men in 13th while Ruben’s boys fly high in 9th. Where will the bragging rights lie come the final whistle?
The games in full…

Hey all, is fplstatistics.co.uk cooked?? I used it for at least a decade for price change predictions….and if so…what’s the best option now? What site are you all using these days??
I’ve been using this https://www.livefpl.net/prices for thsi season as you are right, the other site seems to have gone offline.
thanks ODT!
So if I want Isak at 10.4 I should buy him now?

I use that site, it is not 100%, none of them are but Isak isn’t going to go down in price, if you want him buy him.
Well my fear is he go’s up
Buy him now.
Does he look worth it at the moment? I don’t think so…maybe later.
Hey all — I’m gonna wild card since we have an extra one this season, right?
Any “must-haves”?
Thanks,
CC

Not so much for this GW but Haaland would be number one for me. A spurs defender maybe MVD is great value even with a 0.2 increase (or Remaro)
Grealish after this week too
I’ll be shipping Salah for Isak.
Can’t give you a recommendation on that as it’s a risky move.
Thanks both!
I’m locked and loaded — eek!

G’day CC. Looks ominous! You’ve got a canny little Caicedo tucked in there I see! Not tempted to try for a Cole P??? Do you CFC fans know something we don’t, or is it just a financial necessity? When I WC (not this or next week), I’m gonna try and get in wee Zubimendi from Arsenal – he’s only 5.4 and I reckon he might be a ‘hand grenade’ pickup later! Don’t tell anyone though, I’m trying to keep it a secret! (Oops just let the cat out of the bag!
). Anyway good luck wi’ it CC! Onward and upward!
LOL. Thanks AJW.
Cole P was financially out of reach unfortunately.
Believe it or not … I was wanting Zubimendi but again due to funds had to go D-H. His volley was great but might not fire like that every week – fingers crossed for me LOL.
GL this week.

Good luck to you too there!
Just made trades of Cucu down to Senesi, and Kudus to Semenyo. It’ll probs go haywire, but that’s life!
Cheerio and keep trying to find that perfect Prosecco!
😉
Nice moves.
Cheers!

Graelish>Zubi or roll the FT? Or maybe you all have some other suggestions.

I’d roll, all day long!
I meant to post this in the new thread. Thanks! That was my gut but wanted a second look.
Grealish could be worth holding for the West Ham game.
I don’t know, I would be tempted to maybe play Timber over Grealish this GW, maybe.
I was thinking that I did not see Arsenal keeping a CS against City so Graelish had more potential for points. Even an assist would be something. But I hear ya, tough call.
