Welcome back! Isn’t international football wonderful?
Since the conclusion of GW3, the transfer window has, as the wallies on Sky Sports would say, slammed shut! It was a rather quiet deadline day this time around…Liverpool signed some Swedish bloke who Newcastle didn’t want. Newcastle, the bastions of decency, rescued Wissa from Brentford. United signed a 23-year-old to solve their goalkeeping woes. City signed Gianluigi Donnarumma. Only time will tell which Manchester club chose best. Arsenal signed a defender who’s only 6ft. Oh, and Raheem Sterling remained at Chelsea…
Anyway, onto GW4.
We kick off at 12:30 as Arsenal welcome a Forest side who were humbled by West Ham last time out. Will Nuno have a job come GW5? Turns out he didn’t have a job come GW4!!
We have an astonishing five games at 15:00. None are likely to set pulses racing. The most interesting of the lot sees an Everton side who have started well host Jack Grealish’s old club, Aston Villa, who haven’t enjoyed a great start. Bournemouth host Brighton, Palace host Sunderland, Fulham host Leeds, while bottom of the table Wolves travel to Newcastle.
At 17:30 Spurs make the short trip to the London stadium to face a West Ham side hoping to build on their impressive win against Forest.
Is there really a need for a game at 20:00 on a Saturday? No is the answer, but TV bosses disagree and as a result Brentford host Chelsea.
Onto Sunday and an out of form Liverpool, with three wins from three, travel to Burnley at 14:00.
The gameweek concludes with a game which Sky will call a blockbuster, but hasn’t been a blockbuster for some time, the Manchester derby. It must be a while since City entered the derby behind United in the table, but back-to-back defeats see Pep’s men in 13th while Ruben’s boys fly high in 9th. Where will the bragging rights lie come the final whistle?
The games in full…

Red card Burnley. Throw in the kitchen sink Salah and Gakpo. Grrrrrr.
Is this really going to end 0-0 ? Dubravka and Esteve safely on the bench
How is it still 0-0?
What is Salah doing!
Classical set up defense versus attack. Pool has a few hundred shots but no goals.
Scoring the winner
Deserved. But dayummm
Salaaaaaahhhhh
Sad affair, pool should have not been rewarded for 94 minutes of crap play
100 percent deserved. But as a Gunner and probably person that capped Haaland. I understand why you feel this way.
I’ve seen them playing better and expected them to do so. Anyhow, as a Man U supporter now wish a brace from captain Haaland in a 2-3 loss
How can you root against your own team? Lol
Razi, I said in a 2-3 loss for City
God. I’m really not reading. Well, technically a brace in that scenario ain’t possible no more with the Foden goal.
Lol. Sorry. Bad reading.
Only thing that matters is the result!
I always predict Salah to score in the 93rd minute. Plays terrible all game and either gets a penalty or opposition switch off. Nothing but pure luck.
My guess is you didn’t cap him either? @reg83?
Fck me, he’s been lucky 188 times in the premier league!!!
