Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 4

Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 4. Thankfully the International break is over and what a way to kick it off in GW4. A Saturday lunch time affair brings with it the most interesting fixture of the week. City will play host to Liverpool and their new arrival Keita…wait, apparently he arrives next season, oh well, at least we get to see how Virgil van Dijk fits in. As for City, while Alexis did not arrive, Aguero is more than capable of taking up the pouting. That game is followed by five 3pm games. Big money Arsenal welcome in The Cherries, high scoring Brighton tangle with The Baggies, Everton will look to sober up after that drunken performance last time out when they meet up with September Kane. Leicester look to steal some points off the champions and Saints and Watford mix it up in a battle of two unbeaten teams. We finish the Saturday fixtures when the powerful Man United side pay a visit to Bet365 stadium, where I am sure the owners will take your bets on United crushing the home team.

Sunday makes us wish we were still in the International break as Burnley gets their chance at 3 easy points when Palace comes in and if that wasn’t punishment enough we get hit with Swansea vs Newcastle in the late game.

Sunday had some terrible games, but not to worry, as Monday will not be outdone and they offer up equally unwatchable stuff when The Hammers welcome in Huddersfield.

Mane is the priority but what else should I be doing? Willing to go full retard and take a -8!

Putting together some base-line thoughts for WC over the next few weeks. Here are my beginning thoughts:
    1. Morata is a must because he’s the only performing Chelsea attacker. Agree?
    2. Does having Eriksen and Alli cover for no Kane or is he a must-have?
    3. Davies seems a must as the highest scoring playing in FPL and with their upcoming fixture list. Agree? In 4 games he’s got 1 goal, 2 assists, and 2 clean sheets. Plus he was a 92nd minute Trippier mistake away from an additional CS.
    4. Which City attackers seem to suffice it as your only cover: KDB, Run, Jesus? Seems David Silva can disappear, even in a 5-0 victory…
    5. Can you afford to build a great, balanced WC team without having Firmino to save funds?
Seems like a good start smile

A lot to think about there. Many of the same questions I’ve been pondering too.

      1. Agreed – guaranteed game time and looks like a must have.
      2. Ideally Kane is a must have but if you consider Morata that added to Lukaku, Furminho and Jesus then it just doesn’t work. Taking Alli & Erik goes a long way to covering the points from Spurs.
      3. Agreed
      4. KDB probably too expensive with the forward line your leaning towards. I’d take Jesus but again it’s a 5 in to 3 forward line.
      5. Have I g said all of the above I think Firminho is the easiest to cover points from other positions. I suppose you have a forward line of Morata, Jesus, Kane/Lukaku with Erik/Ali/Mik/Pogbai, Salah/Mane in mid and no money left for the other 6 players. Hmmm tricky choice

      • Pancho says:

Exactly SAF! Its why I think that Firmino may be necessary in creating a solid, balanced WC team. Another option I’ve toyed with though is Coutinho at 8.8. He could be fantasy gold if he isn’t too upset at still being in England… :/

        • SAFs_hairdryer says:

I totally see your point about Firminho balancing the books but Pool seem the easiest of those 5 teams to pick up points from midfield instead. That’s why I’d be inclined to take 3 or the other 4 and cross your fingers you pick the right mids

      TheDreamers says:

      1. Feels right to have him
      2. I think Kane is must have (above Lukaku)
      3. Yes with a but. Whats the story with Rose?
      4. Jesus or run
      5. Probably not – so then based on my answers above its Morata, Kane, Firmino (checks own team. Doesnt have Firmino – slaps himself)

Might be getting close here. Still have .1 in the bank

I ll try to answer all your questions at once like this:
?orata, Kane, Davies, Eriksen all must have for upcoming weeks, fixtures, form , consistency, secure game time the reasons. Same thing for firminio. Consider this: Forward with secure game time in one of the most explosive and attacking teams of the league, at 8,5 m and on pen.Good luck trying and find another, filling those boxes from the first six squads of last year.

About city now.You just can t have everything. With risk but no one of pep s lads is in my team right now.

And a bonus.I think having Davies is like having a mid taking clean sheets. So i would do the same with Alonso, in fact all the above is the spine of my team in weeks to come.
      i hope that was helpfull.
