Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 5

Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 5.

Back to reality. Or at least some semblance of it. We kick off on Saturday lunchtime with the title decider between Everton and Liverpool at 12.30pm.

The (new look) Soccer Saturday have been snookered again with just the one 3pm game to get their politically correct teeth into as Chelsea welcome Southampton.

Man City and Arsenal face off in the ‘tea-time’ game at 5.30pm

Newcastle and Man United see us out on Saturday at 8pm.

Sunday sees four games with Sheffield United and Fulham getting us under way at 12pm, followed by Palace and Brighton at 2pm, Spurs and West Ham at 4.30pm with Leicester and Villa in the late slot at 7.15pm.

We then have two games on Monday again with West Brom and Burnley at 5.30pm (interesting to see who will fork out 15 quid for that one!). Leeds and Wolves complete our GW at 8pm.

The games in full…

Keep track of all the action, the goals, the talking points, right here at FF247 Live Match Chat, an interactive chat which encourages you to keep involved and share your thoughts and emotions as the matches take place.

Good luck to absolutely everyone for Gameweek 5 from all at FF247!

  1. Who you guys thinking of Capt. next week? Who is likely to give up more goals…BUR at home or SHU at away?

  2. Evening

Early thoughts on my team for GW6, I have 1FT & 2.9ITB, was thinking Kun but Kane does look on fire.

    • I think it is too early to get Kun, would go for Kane.

      • With jesus out kun will get plenty of minutes. I want kdb back in city 1st though.

    • Oh Kane for me.

    • Kane because of the form

    • I’m sticking with Kane. Maybe go to Kun after GW8 when Spurs games get more difficult. Other thing to consider is with Jesus out Kun will be playing a lot of CL minutes

  3. After watching 45 min of AVL/LC, I begin to wonder why I 4 players from this combo. Trapp I can see as GK, but Konsa, Castagne & Grealish must go eventually. They may keep CS’s vs the bottom teams but there is no attack threat.
Grealish appears a big cry baby & continues to pick up the ball & walk away with during stoppages. The EPL should institute a yellow card for this type of action. It also points out the type of player that you don’t want on your fanatsy team. I can’t name those who do it this time but they are usually fringe moaners who cry when things don’t go their way. Only my opinion! :cray2:

    • I mentioned Trapp above, but meant Martinez.

    • Not watching the game but I have noticed Grealish do that a lot. Bit surprised you are saying to dump Castagne as he has been very attacking in the games I have seen.

      • I agree that he gets forward a lot, but there doesn’t seem to be any support. With Vardy out they looked awkward. The goal in extra time was luck. Both teams should have had CS’s. If they could shut out their opponents every match they would stay. I mean that for both teams.

  4. Evening lads. Who would you replace Doherty with as he needs to go? I would have 6.3 to replace him.

    A. Digne or Keane
    B. Targett or one of the other Villa defs
    C. Lamptey
    D. Chilwel
    E. Saiss
    F. Someone I haven’t thought of.

    • hey Matt,

I’ve got a similar dilemma.with which def to bring in.

How about regullion? has decent fixtures.

Cant decide between him, chilwell or digne

      • Oh I didn’t think of Reguilom actually. Not sure Spurs are good enough defensively though.

    • I’m thinking think Semedo, Chilwell (D), Castagne or maybe even Cash or Bellerin.

      • I think Digne may not have as many set pieces this year as previously, but also good shout if you don’t mind the price.

      • I am thinking Cash could be good as Villa have the fixtures! Semendo could be good but I don’t really like Arsenals fixtures so I can’t see Bellerin being a good option.

    • C might as well save the cash

      • Yeah I was thinking that but his fixtures are hit and miss

        • Prob Targett actually Villa seem to be able to defend

        • He’s actually my number one pick to be honest!

    • Chilwell

  5. Evening all,
Vardy >> Kane? Pretty straightforward transfer decision this week, unless anyone sees something else I’ve missed (1FT and 0.9 ITB)

  6. Go Villa! What a start to the season for them :good2:

    • Hard to remember they were fighting relegation a few months ago, will be interesting to see how long they can keep up this form
Could we be in for another Leicester season? 😎

    • Great birthday present for Swirly on his 35th!

    • 2nd and they have played 1 less game than most.
