Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 5

Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 5.

Back to reality. Or at least some semblance of it. We kick off on Saturday lunchtime with the title decider between Everton and Liverpool at 12.30pm.

The (new look) Soccer Saturday have been snookered again with just the one 3pm game to get their politically correct teeth into as Chelsea welcome Southampton.

Man City and Arsenal face off in the ‘tea-time’ game at 5.30pm

Newcastle and Man United see us out on Saturday at 8pm.

Sunday sees four games with Sheffield United and Fulham getting us under way at 12pm, followed by Palace and Brighton at 2pm, Spurs and West Ham at 4.30pm with Leicester and Villa in the late slot at 7.15pm.

We then have two games on Monday again with West Brom and Burnley at 5.30pm (interesting to see who will fork out 15 quid for that one!). Leeds and Wolves complete our GW at 8pm.

The games in full…

Keep track of all the action, the goals, the talking points, right here at FF247 Live Match Chat, an interactive chat which encourages you to keep involved and share your thoughts and emotions as the matches take place.

Good luck to absolutely everyone for Gameweek 5 from all at FF247!

  1. Any VVD injury updates?

    • No but it could have ended really badly…

      • insanity.

      • It looks even worse in that picture 😯 . It was completely reckless of Pickford and no idea how he stayed on the pitch. Utter buffoon. The ref’s excuse of VVD being offside is a load of tosh – it implies that when the ball is out of play anyone can do anything to anyone.

      • Found this on twitter :big-lol:

        • haha! love it

…but also a bit disappointing how accurate it is!

    • Early reports looking like he could be out for 6 months. Going off a liverpool Facebook group on that. His ACL

    • To win the league you need a big contribution from your keeper. That was insanity and very unfortunate but Pickford has acidently increased Everton’s chances somewhat.

  2. This so far.

  3. Worth holding onto Roberts now VVD is out and Adrian is in goal?

    • For his assist and goal treat yes. He like a mid priced midfielder and good for a BP.

In saying that I am doing vvd to Digne. 5 in his next 6 look ol

    • I think you can get the same kind of points for less than 7.0 elsewhere…

    • If you strip all the clean sheets out of TAA and Robertson (and keep in mind they will still get some) they would still get 140-150 pts a season due to their attacking returns.

    • I’ve many many other problems before I even get to that.

    • Yes of course. Robertson is a good player to have. Doesn’t seem to be doing too badly. Also:

      We have no idea yet of the severity of VVD’s injury. In addition I read somewhere once that he’s a big fan of the Can-can and consequently his knees are less feeble than others’;

Liverpool play Sheffield United next and

Matip and Gomez do not contain the word ‘Lovren’. Fabinho also moonlights as a defender. It’s not the worst cover.

    • Next two look ok anyway but it’s not great long term

  4. Newcastle United v Manchester United

  5. Scoring within the first 5’ is the new black in PL smile

  6. Have a feeling ole could be sacked by the morning
