Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 5
Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 5. We can but hope that this article doesn’t come as a surprise to you on a Friday evening and that you aren’t currently sat there thinking “either they’ve made a big mistake, or I’ve made an even bigger one!”. Well, we haven’t, and we are really sorry if you did!
The game-week begins with yet another uninspiring televised clash, as Bournemouth host Brighton on Friday night. Not one that many people will be hurriedly cancelling Friday night plans for then. If you do feel so compelled though you can always rearrange those plans for about 12:30pm on Saturday to coincide with the next woeful TV offering – Crystal palace vs Southampton. Seriously, we pay good money for this stuff. Add those to last week’s run of Burnley vs Palace / Swansea vs Newcastle / West Ham vs Huddersfield, and with the greatest of respect to the teams involved there can anyone ever recall a worse run of 5 televised games?!
Deep breaths.
Onto Saturday’s 3pm fare then, and we have five games, many of which will hold a fantasy football interest –
Huddersfield will hope to improve on their poor showing on Monday night as they host Leicester.
Liverpool, sans Mane, have a potentially plum home game with a Burnley team who traditionally don’t travel that well.
Newcastle and Stoke may hold more interest in the handshake shenanigans than any on the field activities.
Watford, having had a strong start, will look to test a potentially vulnerable Man City back line in what may be a very entertaining fixture, perhaps not so much if you own defenders from either side.
West Brom and West Ham may have the antidote to the above though, just in case you get over excited.
Saturday evening returns us to the television and at least this time there is some semi entertainment as Spurs will be looking for a first PL win at Wembley against an ailing Swansea
Sunday does finally bring some strong games back to the big screen. Arsenal host Chelsea in the early one and then Man United play Everton in the late one to bring our game-week to a close.

Not a very good GW for the strikers this one.
Lukaku > Aguero is going to be a popular move.
That’s with 0.6 itb
How has Lukaku got a goal and an assist. He’s been useless today.
And I captained kane ?
As did I Gavy.
Just one of those things.
Investing in defence is great when all 6 of your defensive teams keep clean sheets…not great when two of them don’t play this week would have been a 75 point week otherwise, still not bad with Alli captain.
Lukaku to Aguero seems so knee jerk for one week cos United have Palace the following week?
especially as he’s scored now aha
That game just shows how quickly a gameweeks can change !! Lukaku was rubbish for 70 mins but still managed to bag a goal and an assist !!
Lollorz, yesterday I had 10 points from 7 players. Now I have 45 from 11. 😉
53 points. Thanks to the ManUtd boys, have pulled my score above 50.
Still a read arrow though.
Last season though, B. You landed outside of the top 1million.
I don’t know how you can come back from that. Unless, maybe, this season, you get a top 1k ranking.
Else, I have to admit. I feel a little bit ashamed to know you.
Godamnit I quit FPL last year before Christmas!
I think it’s cool you have two rankings outside of the top 1 million. Even one outside of the top 2 million. Your average, hehe. Must be nice. 😛
I bet you choose to ignore my 661 rank a couple of years ago. B)
Son, you know nothing about being in the top 1K.
Hehe, that’s the old B. I had to be sure it was you, mate. 😛
Ps. I was just messing with you. From what I remember, that’s usually one of your hobbies to do with other people. However, I did miss you last season. Wasn’t the same without you. I expected Ruben to leave, but not you.
