Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 5
Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 5. We can but hope that this article doesn’t come as a surprise to you on a Friday evening and that you aren’t currently sat there thinking “either they’ve made a big mistake, or I’ve made an even bigger one!”. Well, we haven’t, and we are really sorry if you did!
The game-week begins with yet another uninspiring televised clash, as Bournemouth host Brighton on Friday night. Not one that many people will be hurriedly cancelling Friday night plans for then. If you do feel so compelled though you can always rearrange those plans for about 12:30pm on Saturday to coincide with the next woeful TV offering – Crystal palace vs Southampton. Seriously, we pay good money for this stuff. Add those to last week’s run of Burnley vs Palace / Swansea vs Newcastle / West Ham vs Huddersfield, and with the greatest of respect to the teams involved there can anyone ever recall a worse run of 5 televised games?!
Deep breaths.
Onto Saturday’s 3pm fare then, and we have five games, many of which will hold a fantasy football interest –
Huddersfield will hope to improve on their poor showing on Monday night as they host Leicester.
Liverpool, sans Mane, have a potentially plum home game with a Burnley team who traditionally don’t travel that well.
Newcastle and Stoke may hold more interest in the handshake shenanigans than any on the field activities.
Watford, having had a strong start, will look to test a potentially vulnerable Man City back line in what may be a very entertaining fixture, perhaps not so much if you own defenders from either side.
West Brom and West Ham may have the antidote to the above though, just in case you get over excited.
Saturday evening returns us to the television and at least this time there is some semi entertainment as Spurs will be looking for a first PL win at Wembley against an ailing Swansea
Sunday does finally bring some strong games back to the big screen. Arsenal host Chelsea in the early one and then Man United play Everton in the late one to bring our game-week to a close.

Is miki a must?
Thinking of bringing him in for Alli or eriksen
I wouldn’t say so. Certainly not a must. He was pretty average for much of today. He was pinging the ball in the box a lot, so likely to get assists I guess, but very rarely did he really bomb forward and look like scoring. That said, I do like spreading my cards, so if you’re sat on both Alli & Eriksen then I’d perhaps consider it. I’m liking Pogba’s price dropping, as I’ll be swapping straight for him when he’s back.
It does free up some cash which will certainly help me over the coming weeks!
Not with their fixtures coming up, and with CL i expect rotation to start after the ITB
Far from it and looked poor as did United most of the game.Thought you had already done a transfer ??
Yes mate I have, probably going to do a couple more over the coming days
The hits are back
Well and truly!
Did Eriksen and silva this week for mane and pogba, was quite happy with there returns.
You were on a winner there no matter who you brought in.
Trying to justify my hits are working lol
You picked well
Not at this point. Southampton next, and they have a solid defence, so might keep the United regulars quiet.
What a horrendous first 5 weeks! No, this is not a screenshot from a dead team, it’s me…
Ouch. It can only get better. It will do just don’t panic
Wait.. Dont panic? Look at his rank for fecks sake! He’ll win a cup for coming last at that pace!
Hahah My exact thoughts B! And this score is with my WC…
Panic needs to be your middle name right now Pancho.
I’ve just WC’ed and I’ve got 10 of your squad. Have some patience, I’m sure it’ll turn around soon. Either that or I’m screwed 😉
+2. 8 key players the same (Alli for Eriksen), and I’m quite content. Only five weeks in, and some main bets will still come good.
How much better is it to have Aguero over Jesus?
Which will make you sleep better at night?
If they both start Aguero but it’s still Pep. I’m debating Aguero and Naughton if for Jesus and Davies
As much as I prefer Kun, I’d be reluctant to make that move. There’s a big difference between Davies & Naughton.
There is indeed. Will get a better idea when they play in the league cup
Used my ft on jesus to aguero.. Had just enough money to do that.. Damn kun made me drop to second position in my mini league.. Any more suggestions regarding future? Was thinking downgrading mid somehow to upgrade defence? Someone for ritchie?
Sorry here’s my squad
Will you swap back if Jesus gets the Hattie this week ??
Stop scaring me :p I guess we all forgot what kun is capable of..when fit.. And he nicely reminded us about it haha
Any reason why Luiz is on 3 points? He got sent off
Cs ?
2 for playing 60 mins, 4 for a clean sheet, -3 for the red card?
Math.
Ah they still get the clean sheet points weren’t sure if they did when they got sent off
They get the CS points but if the team concedes even after they’re off the pitch they lose them. Unlike a sub who gets the points the moment they are subbed off
Well you learn something new everyday! Cheers SAF. Good knowledge.
I suppose it’s because if the team concede after the red card they’re likely to be responsible for it having been sent off. Only fair
