Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 5

Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 5. We can but hope that this article doesn’t come as a surprise to you on a Friday evening and that you aren’t currently sat there thinking “either they’ve made a big mistake, or I’ve made an even bigger one!”. Well, we haven’t, and we are really sorry if you did!

The game-week begins with yet another uninspiring televised clash, as Bournemouth host Brighton on Friday night. Not one that many people will be hurriedly cancelling Friday night plans for then. If you do feel so compelled though you can always rearrange those plans for about 12:30pm on Saturday to coincide with the next woeful TV offering – Crystal palace vs Southampton. Seriously, we pay good money for this stuff. Add those to last week’s run of Burnley vs Palace / Swansea vs Newcastle / West Ham vs Huddersfield, and with the greatest of respect to the teams involved there can anyone ever recall a worse run of 5 televised games?!

Deep breaths.

Onto Saturday’s 3pm fare then, and we have five games, many of which will hold a fantasy football interest –

Huddersfield will hope to improve on their poor showing on Monday night as they host Leicester.

Liverpool, sans Mane, have a potentially plum home game with a Burnley team who traditionally don’t travel that well.

Newcastle and Stoke may hold more interest in the handshake shenanigans than any on the field activities.

Watford, having had a strong start, will look to test a potentially vulnerable Man City back line in what may be a very entertaining fixture, perhaps not so much if you own defenders from either side.

West Brom and West Ham may have the antidote to the above though, just in case you get over excited.

Saturday evening returns us to the television and at least this time there is some semi entertainment as Spurs will be looking for a first PL win at Wembley against an ailing Swansea

Sunday does finally bring some strong games back to the big screen. Arsenal host Chelsea in the early one and then Man United play Everton in the late one to bring our game-week to a close.

THE GAMES IN FULL –

Good luck to absolutely everyone for GW5 from all at FF247!

Worst of week for me. Just 40.. back to pavilion. Haha.. But, I’m still thinking of holding my transfer for this week. Do you guys see any immediate issues? Have KDB for city cover already. Don’t want to lose Morata/Kane. Although, Firmino looks like a waste without Mane. What do you guys think?

Hi guys, good to be back (well until this week)
Any idea how I can sort this sorry mess out please? I really would like Kun in, need Kante and Ince sorting, wouldn’t mind getting rid of alonso (just taking up too many funds)
1.5m in the bank and 1 tfr but happy to take a hit. Ideally don’t want to WC at the minute but will if necessary. Thank you for your help x

    Good morning all…

So after the Aguero show would it be wise to try and transfer out Jesus for Sergio? I didn’t see how City lined up against Watford but I read that Jesus is being played on the right whilst Aguero is up top which really would suggest Aguero is now a must…

Think both play as strikers and keep on interchanging. Also if Jesus gets hat trick next week will you transfer Aguero out for him? No need to panic and do Jesus to Aguero just hold on if you have one of them. If you on a wc or don’t have any and thinking of bringing someone in than go for Aguero but not on expense of Jesus!! Also I am saying this as a Jesus owner laugh

I fancy Aguero’s chances to bag a hatrick again before Jesus does. Jump on before he goes up again. If he scores several against CRY at home next weekend his price is only going one way.

Morning all, another grim GW here for as my season goes from bad to worse! Remaining upbeat about it as its early days and a lot of games to play! For those like me with no city cover are you planning on trying to bring in either Jesus or Kun?

After Saturday I was all set to pull the trigger on Lukaku – Kun but sense prevailed and I’d have been kicking myself for had I made that move!

Today contemplating Kane – Kun but it feels a little Knee jerky. The only thing that makes it seem like the sensible move is the fact City play Palace, I have 0 city cover and have both Kane and Erik in my team.
It would be great to open up a discussion on what other people in a similar situation are thinking with regard to this issue!

I brought Aguero in this morning Rosco! *sucks air through teeth*

Number of reasons for this one of which and the most pertinent, is the lack of City in my squad.

      He came in for Firmino.

What if City put a couple of goals in before half time, and they are in total control of the game, do you think they look ahead to next weeks game against Chelsea and take Kun and/or Jesus off and let Stirling and co have a run around.

      Just putting it out there

Head up mate, you can’t be that down when we’re in the top 4 smile

Honestly I don’t know who I’d prefer to lose out of Lukaku and Kane, I have both and don’t fancy losing either of them.
I’ve also got Jesus as my city cover but that obviously takes up a huge amount of funds. And whilst it is annoying he’s only play 2 3rds of every game as long as he keeps scoring I’m satisfied for the time being.

      Morning chaps,

The thought of doing Lukaku to Kun was starting to creep into my mind before Lukaku’s late effort yesterday. Now I’m not so sure, especially as United play Palace the following week. If I owned Mikhi I’d probably go for it but I don’t, although a -4 could sort things out. Won’t do anything before Friday though.
