Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 6
Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 6.
Friday night fixture gets this gameweek rolling and what better to get us going then watching Saints let in a couple of goals into the Bournemouth boys that we no longer own.
That is followed by 5 games on Saturday. The early game pits two not good enough teams, one is not good enough for fourth (Leicester) and the other (Spurs) is not good enough to compete for a title. Three fixtures come around at 3pm with the Barnes mini train vs the massive Pukki train facing off. We also see Everton take on Sheffield and City’s Otamendi pass the ball to Hornets in front of goal. The late game needs deleting, but our guess is that they will play it anyway. Toon vs Brighton, there we said it.
Sunday gives us a somewhat unusual four fixtures, as in more games than usual, not as weird. The two early matches pits a surprising Palace side against an also surprising Wolves side albeit for different reasons, as Wolverhampton finds themselves with only 3 points so far. The Hammers take on Ole’s United in the other early game. The two late encounters has the two clowns at centreback who play for Arsenal entertaining Aston Villa, while first place Liverpool go to Stamford Bridge and score five when Lampard decides his team can play straight up against the champions to be.
The games in full…

I must have had some logic for putting Mason Mount as my first sub but I really can’t think what it was :scratch_one-s_head: he is in the way of Lundstram coming on for Sterling. I am fully expecting Mount to come on for 1pt ☹️
The logic was or should’ve been that you thought a Chelsea mid in hot form playing at home to whoever would outscore your bench fodder from a promoted team playing away to whoever, should you need a sub. And that is good logic. You can’t legislate such random hauls.
+1 it’s completely logical so you shouldn’t worry. I’ve got Cantwell’s 2 points coming in for Sterling, ahead of Lundstram’s 12 for similar reasons.
But now we all need to ask ourselves, given Lundstram is now the highest scoring defender in fpl, does it make sense to have him on the bench? That doesn’t seem logical anymore. You can justify not playing him next week against Liverpool, but after that I don’t see why he shouldn’t be in one’s starting 11.
Yeah I must admit I’m thinking that. He’s good enough to play every week like Cantwell
Fair point. He probably cant be seen as bench fodder anymore. A bit like AWB last year. Not sure on the XI because that depends on who else is available.
Good point, makes a headache of who should be on the bench though!
I’m both loving and hating these early kick offs in the rugby. One one side you have sport pretty much all day but on the other you can’t really go to the pub and talk bollocks about tactics!
No Scotsman would like to talk to this to anyone so far so we’re OK!
Yeah… they aren’t playing well at all mate! The biggest positives for ye are the injuries to O’Mahoney, Aki and Sexton
I concur
The pubs are opening early in London at the weekend for the world cup
I’ll definitely go to the pub in a few weeks for France-England.
It’s not open yet, is that it?
Not legally 😉
The cops are also watching the game!
Just make sure you don’t bump with one in a kilt!
Should I do Zinchenko to Otamendi now?
Seems sensible move
Definitely sensible!
Probably. Why rush in though?
No rush gp just like being organised lol
Definitely be organised. Just not unnecessarily hasty.
Considering doing Zinc to Lundstram! Make sense?
Yeah
I might do it. Its really between him and Soyuncu for me
Yeah Soyuncu looks like a decent option. Interested to see how Tomori gets on as well
I’m keeping an eye on Tomori actually. I’m more interested in how he’s effected by Rudiger and Emerson coming back though.
Emerson won’t affect him. Keeping an eye on him myself.
Leicester don’t appear to keep many cs ( opinion not fact)
I have Salah Sterling and KDB in midfield. KDB is looking a good city captain option. This opens up the possibility of Sterling to Mane. Something to monitor and think about, but may consider that move if Sterling doesn’t start to return soon.
StoneFrog, I have the same midfield. I hadn’t thought about that move. I’m tempted to hold strong, but not sure if that is sensible or foolish.
I’m considering the same move this week Sterling-Mane. This would also free up my 3rd city slot to get Otamendi and double up on Liverpool attack.
Yeah I’d hold with that one
I may be being foolishly stubborn but I’m keeping Sterling (unless injured) for Everton, Wolves, Crystal Palace, Aston Villa & Southampton which are his next five.
Yeah I’m fine with that: he will come good
