This GW kicks of with a Friday fixture that pits the high flying Villains against the ok going Leeds.

Saturday brings us four more matches. The Hammers host City in the early game. That is followed by Fulham vs Palace, United vs Chelsea (15th and 8th in the standings) and Liverpool close the show vs Sheffield United.

Sunday gives us three more fixtures. Saints start it off vs first place Everton, Wolves takes on Toon and in the late game Arsenal host Leicester.

If three days of Premier League football were not enough they also left us two games for Monday. Brighton welcomes in West Brom and the gameweek is closed out by Burnley taking on the eternal bottlers, Spurs.

Sitting on 15 from 5 with 25 on the bench. I have Bamford in the first slot, so would be nice for me if JRod doesn’t play. Reese James and his 8 is the other on the bench.

Getting rid of TAA. Who to replace him with? Digne perhaps? Have Saiss, Konsa and Mitchell. How about Wan Bissaka?

VVD to Digne for me pre this week. I think he’s a good shout. Usual grabs bonus when he posts an attacking return.

I think I’ll be getting shot of Reece James this week on gametime issues and I’m looking at Chilwell or Reguillon so those are another two names to consider.

      • Kushan Samararatne says:

Is Everton good enough to keep CS? Same problem with Chilwell & Regullion… But then again I guess, no one can say who will keep CS this season. I think set and forget is the best. Attacking wise, who looks best in general for defs?

        • Kralin says:

I think we have to accept things are a tad odd this season.

Over the next few gamesweeks I’d make a case that the best defenders, on paper, are TAA, Robbo, Digne, Chilwell. Depends if you’re as rich as a lord I suppose. Go cheap and spend the money elsewhere if the prices of the above baulk.

        • Smash says:

Yeah i agree it’s all a bit odd. I have nothing against moving Robbo and TAA on for strategy reasons like taking the money out of defence and putting it into attack. However they are still probably the two best attacking defenders in the game. Are we getting rid for the sake of it? A downgrade to Digne or Chilwell is that enough cash to do anything with.

      • Wafflez says:

I’m looking at Coufal and Zouma also. Have gone from no idea to 4 or 5 options thanks to FF247 smile

      Stone Frog says:

Yes the Liverpool defenders are a tricky subject. I find it hard to get excited by many defenders, but at least I feel TAA and Robertson give me something. A lot of defenders just seem like cheap facilitators that bring nothing at all. I still feel TAA/Robbo should score ~100pts more than your average 4.5.

Digne is a good shout, but you can also consider PVA as a differential now he’s back.

Got 2ft’s and 0,9 itb. Palace got some nice fixtures coming up and Leicester dont’t. And zaha seems to be in great shape. So i’m thinking Barnes to zaha and save the other ft if nothing happens on the last half of this gw. Does that make sense to you all?
