Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 6

Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 6. Choo choo, all aboard the Kun train… Best hope he starts then or there will be fantasy managers throwing themselves under it at about one minute past 2pm today! Quite why a hat-trick last week indicates another one imminently we aren’t sure but let’s see what happens. It’s a bit of a strange FPL week as we actually have 8 games today (Saturday), and then just the 1 on both Sunday and Monday.

We begin with a London derby as West Ham host Spurs at lunchtime, in what has in recent past been a title decider.

3pm gets busy then with no less than 6 games on the go with the likes of Chelsea, Man City and Man United all featuring.

Saturday is rounded off with Liverpool visiting Leicester.

Sunday’s lonely game sees Brighton host Newcastle at 4pm. And sees the Toon fans getting home on Monday morning at some point, if they are lucky. Wonderful planning from the PL again!

We close the week out with Arsenal hosting West Brom at 8pm on Monday.

We love to hear how you are doing in FPL terms but also how you think the games are going so please feel free to post anything you like in the comments below.

    Hi all,

I am looking at hitting the WC button in GW8 when Chelsea and City’s fixtures improve. How does this lot look?

Great stuff from the mighty Whites again it’s the first season I’ve seen them looking so good 😉

    Eriksen two BPS restored!

Hi all ended up with 83 with Ritchie and Groß to play! Wildcard paid off!

      banjomaker says:

Great scoring Neilos! I’m equally happy, with 79 and the same 2 to play. Wish we’d played Elliott over Fabianski now though 😉

      • Neilos says:

Hey Banjo! Great score buddy. Was hoping for some save points today. Just watching MOTD. coutinho looking good!

        • banjomaker says:

Yea I’m pretty happy. Back to the top of my ML and up to 73k OR. I watched the Liverpool match and Coutinho looked awesome. I’m fairly happy with Salah as my Liverpool cover, but if I had no Liverpool already I’d seriously be thinking of ways to get Coutinho. My only concern at the moment would be his game time.

        • Kop Warrior says:

I wouldn’t be concerned about his game time. Klopp has been easing him back.

        • Neilos says:

Just checked and we are only ten points apart but major difference in overall ranking! I wish I had some pool coverage but couldn’t squeeze anymore out of the budget. Will see how things pan out in a few weeks.

        • banjomaker says:

That’s exactly what I mean about his game time. Klopp is still easing him back, so I wouldn’t rush to get him just yet. It’ll be interesting to see who the starting 3 are when everyone’s fit? I’m sure Coutinho is in there. But it’s tough to see who’ll miss out. Or would he even go all 4?!

        • Neilos says:

klopps gonna have a mad headache I tell ya! Just saw the Chelsea goals and Morata looks gooood!

        • banjomaker says:

I’m watching the golf and saving motd til the morning. I can’t see me being able to sell Kun or Morata any time soon, purely down to the value I’ll lose if I ever need them back!

        • Kop Warrior says:

I meant he’s been eased back in and will be a regular feature from now.
When everyone is available Coutinho will play in midfield.

        • inittowinit says:

Coutinho will start, end of really. Klopp may be mad as a box of frogs, especially when it comes to defending, but he knows his eggs in attacking terms. It may not be where we want him to when Mane is back but he’ll start, don’t worry about that.

        • banjomaker says:

Is that it now then Kop? Does he start every week? If so he’s quite tempting. When you say midfield, are you saying Mane, Salah & Firmino will all start and play in front of him? That’ll be some attacking threat!

        • Kop Warrior says:

Yeah. He starts from now on. Obviously Klopp will rotate from time to time but Coutinho will start more often than not.
Yeah a front 3 of Firmino flanked by Mane & Salah. Coutinho will play in midfield. Great going forward but no cover for a crap defence.

        • banjomaker says:

There’s a serious amount of goals there with all 4 starting! And there’ll have to be with the amount you’ll concede 😉 it’s certainly never going to be dull watching Liverpool.

        • Kop Warrior says:

Banjo, I have kittens every time the opposition are in our half never mind the penalty area! smile

    Matt says:

Not going to make any changes until Thursday night but I’m currently thinking of downgrading Eriksen to Richardlison, Maguire to a 4.5 and Wood to Morata for a -8. The Morata move I might hold off on for one more week to save -4.

Really need to bring in a better 3rd forward the bargain lads aren’t doing anything worthwhile yet. What do you think?

    • 125.1
      TheDreamers says:

definitely not a -8 Matt. Definitely not

    • 125.2
      Brookyboy says:

Erikson has Huddersfield next Morata has Man City.Deffo not worth it Matt.

    • 125.3
      RedVT says:

That sounds like quite a sacrifice to get Morata in, Matty. Leicester are about to go on a nice run and there could be some good points for Maguire, I’m actually thinking about bringing him in on my WC! And Eriksen is going great. Give it a few days to think about things, Wood isn’t going to score every week but he’s a good player and Burnley’s home matches are decent for a while.

      • Matt says:

Cheers Brooky and Red. I actually agree with the two of ye. I’ve only just brought Maguire in because of his fixtures and even today he got me an assist. As for Wood, I’ve only just brought him in too but feel that I’m missing out on big points by not having a ‘Big Three’ you know?

        • Brookyboy says:

You got some big points this week !! smile

        • RedVT says:

Yeah, I totally get it Matt. All my WC drafts so far have had a budget 3rd striker for balance but it’s hard to keep a balanced team when all the forwards are firing and you want to get them all! Not sure what the best set-up is, but with Coutinho, Hazard, and Sanchez coming back on the scene I don’t know if it’s smart to tie up all our funds up top. Or maybe someone like Vardy is a good compromise for that 3rd slot so you’ve got some extra firepower up there but it doesn’t wipe out your budget.

        • Matt says:

I did Brook but if I had Morata or Kun I could have been breaking 100. Haha

Yeah I was looking at Vardy too actually and was very close to bringing him in this week in fact but decided against it. The budget midfielders are definitely doing better than the forwards thought. If only we could play a 3-6-1 hahah

    chins says:

Holy moly. 91 with the help of my TC chip used on Aguero. Atsu, Gross and Elliot to play.
I’d love to break the ton and get a nice boost up the table. Strange how things work out… if I hadn’t missed the deadline last week and accidentally carried a transfer over its very unlikely I would’ve brought in Aguero at all.
    Lovely stuff.
