Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 6

Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 6. Choo choo, all aboard the Kun train… Best hope he starts then or there will be fantasy managers throwing themselves under it at about one minute past 2pm today! Quite why a hat-trick last week indicates another one imminently we aren’t sure but let’s see what happens. It’s a bit of a strange FPL week as we actually have 8 games today (Saturday), and then just the 1 on both Sunday and Monday.

We begin with a London derby as West Ham host Spurs at lunchtime, in what has in recent past been a title decider.

3pm gets busy then with no less than 6 games on the go with the likes of Chelsea, Man City and Man United all featuring.

Saturday is rounded off with Liverpool visiting Leicester.

Sunday’s lonely game sees Brighton host Newcastle at 4pm. And sees the Toon fans getting home on Monday morning at some point, if they are lucky. Wonderful planning from the PL again!

We close the week out with Arsenal hosting West Brom at 8pm on Monday.

We love to hear how you are doing in FPL terms but also how you think the games are going so please feel free to post anything you like in the comments below.

  1. Frustrated with Jesus and Firmino. How’s this for a wildcard? Too heavy at the back? I just don’t see any good 6-7 Mids.

    • I really like it. There not masses of value in cheap mids, yet there appears to be with 5.5-6.0 defenders. I’ve just WC’d myself and went with a very similar team. I ended up staying 3-4-3 and going with Ritchie over Kolasinac, but I do really like your team set up as 4-3-3. My only concern with yours would be the lack of spurs attack.

      • Appreciate the feedback. I would love Spurs coverage but don’t see how I could make it happen. Ironically, I’m dropping Alli to fund the striker upgrade.

        • I opted for Kane over Lukaku, as there was cheaper midfield cover for United, in Mkhi. But you’d need to downgrade a premium defender to make that possible.

        • Hmmm interesting. Maybe I’ll hold on pulling the trigger until next GW. That way I can have Kaku for palace and the Che/City game out of the way while I think it over. If I get priced out of anything I can just pick up Atsu instead of Groß. You certainly got the juices flowing!

        • Yea I certainly wouldn’t be losing Lukaku ahead of palace! I’m tempted to swap out Kane just for one week!

  2. Absolute nightmare start for me in FPL but luckily I’m better at predicting results than predicting who provides the results!

    • nice win that MadHatter

    • I think that’s the only time we’ll see Luton Town listed alongside those clubs 😉

      • Saw it when I was young and I’ll see it again when I’m old and forget how to form sentences without swearing and blaming everything on the youth of today!

    • Well played Sir!

    • Nice work madhatter. That’s a bold stake for a 9 fold accumulator. I love the difference a few away wins makes to a payout.
What you going to spend it on?

  3. Brilliant response from the united fans regarding the ‘offensive’ Lukaku song…

    • Phiiiiiiiiiil Jones
      He’s a Substandard defender
and when he goes on a bender
      His moves are extremely odd
      but he’s my FPL God!
      Phiiiiiiiiiil Jones

      I’ll get my coat!

  4. What do people think of DDH,Stones and firminho to Lossl , jones and morata. FYI looking to wc next week

    • I’m not convinced Lossl is the best budget GK pick, but other than that I really like those moves.

      • Thanks, I’m not either more of an enabler, but thought I can always change in wc,

    • Not sure Morata is needed next week.

      • Yea I’ve read that wrong. Definitely don’t hit to bring in Morata next weekend. Fixtures aside, they’re good moves tho!

        • Since I’ll be doing wc soon makes sense to focus on short term benefits then

    • Absolutely not! That’s unless I have the order wrong. If it was the other way then I’d be less absolute.

      • Thanks Kop, Innit.

Think I’m trying to swap firmino and use 2ft before I use my wc. Could always do firmino and miki to silva and vardy

  5. Luckily Jesus didn’t come on for a point as I had him as Captain today. Instead I get Luk as vice. Not sure what to do with this lot as I think Jesus and Firmino need to go. Worth a WC or don’t panic?

    • Better or worse?

      • Probably a bit better but not sure it’s worth a hit. Definitely not worth WC’ing for imho.

  6. With the AURIER red card and Spurs with a CL game this week how does this affect him – I have Trippier so I want him in for next Saturday if Aurier would not be legible?

    • I’m pretty sure it’s a domestic ban and so doesn’t count for Champs League. He’ll be banned for the next weekends EPL game.
