Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 7
Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 7.
Eight Saturday fixtures get us going. The early game sees the surprising Sheffield host the perfect in six Liverpool side. Six matches follow that. Villa host Burnley, fifth place West Ham take on sixth place Bournemouth, Chelsea tries to bounce back against Brighton, Palace looks to give Pukki a second straight blank, Spurs manhandle Southampton and the two last place teams Wolves and Watford…whatever.
Sunday only brings us one fixture, but is it a great one? Heck no!! Leicester take on Newcastle, I am getting sleepy already. At least we still have a game on Monday and after this boring documentary of a game we need a comedy to get us back in a good mood.
Speaking of comedies, the clown show is fully on when Ole’s circus takes on Emery’s sideshow, I have bought a clown horn and am ready to sit back and watch this to the sound of said horn.
The games in full…

Any news on Maddison???
He was close for this game guess he should be ok for next week
Cheers Smash
50 points this GW. All out.
Thinking of going Digne & Ceballos out Tomori & Maddison in for a hit or is there a better pr to swap to ?
Might as well wait till after next international break for those moves. Leicester are at Liverpool next
Might have to go early just enough cash to do a str swap I will keep eye on price changes
Hi all,
I won’t do any move before the mid-weeks games of course, but I am toying with a crazy idea.
I really am not convinced with Salah’s performances this year. The FPL points are still there, but visually he seems very frustrating. Many poor choices, either when shooting or passing…
So I was contemplating to get rid, even though I know how dangerous it is. While I am at it, I was also thinking to ditch Pukki, mostly because I’d like to make room for Wilson, who looks very reliable.
So the move would be:
Salah, Pukki–>Wilson, Son.
Is it crazy?
2 FT, 0.1 IBT
By the way, sacrificing Salah could allow for other drastic moves, eg.
Salah, Mings–>Son, TAA ;
Salah, Pukki–>Mount, Auba or Kane…
Can Mane be factored in? I reckon you still need to keep a finger in the Liverpool pie somehow.
Does Salah&Pukki trade for Son&Firmino?
That might work, considering you’d still have pool cover?
I’m not sure I agree with your assessment there but surely you need at least one from him and Mane. You’d also find yourself Liverpool-less if you sell him and that doesnt seem smart. They are leading the league with 7 wins in 7 … with an almost 3 goals scored per game…
To be fair to Vinci he has a point on Salah and I thought it myself on Saturday. He looked fairly poor to me. It’s all relative to what we expect though but his decision making was way off and he gave up a number of times when something didn’t come off for him.
Thank you for your answers.
You are right, a major weakpoint of that approach is that I would have zero Pool coverage…
Bringing Mané in would limit the interest of the move due to a similar price (and comparable return). Bobby is a good idea, but would take one forward spot that I’d like to give Wilson or Vardy…
Actually, now that Salah and Mané are deceiptive (this is relative, of course, to their price tag), I do not see must-have Pool offensive coverage. Except for TAA… And Firmino, but in a forward line where there are many alternatives…
I’ll keep thinking about it. This would be a provocative and dangerous move. I was also considering it now because the next 3 Pool games are more challenging…
It really is awful watching a game when all you have is a defender to root for.
Fretting for 90 minutes on every occasion the opposition gets near the goal.
Thankfully Newcastle never scored, Leicester kept their clean sheet and 6 points for chilwell.
Onto 43 points for the game week which is 1 point below the average.
Whereas in the game tomorrow, still have Greenwood to cheer on. I really expect him to start with rashford and martial both injured.
A bit of luck that Greenwood scores and get closer to 50 points for the game week.
Failing that then James is first sub unless Greenwood makes a 1 point cameo appearance.
Jamie
After a great week last week, I have had a shocker. Reds all around
Should I panic? I’m really good at it? Haha
On paper I think my team looks okay for next week in all seriousness.
Here’s this week’s score…
You’ve got to play Robbo surely ?
Clean sheet wise I’m not sure if Liverpool will keep one against Leicester but with kante a doubt he could be in either way
Play someone over Kante and you are grand.
Robbo how did you fair this week innit?
51, which is about bang average I guess. For live teams. I’ll take it and move on.
Play robbo over kante.
Play digne over lundstram.
Jamie
