Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 7
Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 7.
Eight Saturday fixtures get us going. The early game sees the surprising Sheffield host the perfect in six Liverpool side. Six matches follow that. Villa host Burnley, fifth place West Ham take on sixth place Bournemouth, Chelsea tries to bounce back against Brighton, Palace looks to give Pukki a second straight blank, Spurs manhandle Southampton and the two last place teams Wolves and Watford…whatever.
Sunday only brings us one fixture, but is it a great one? Heck no!! Leicester take on Newcastle, I am getting sleepy already. At least we still have a game on Monday and after this boring documentary of a game we need a comedy to get us back in a good mood.
Speaking of comedies, the clown show is fully on when Ole’s circus takes on Emery’s sideshow, I have bought a clown horn and am ready to sit back and watch this to the sound of said horn.
The games in full…

Anyone else also gradually losing their interest in football because of VAR?! It’s even ruining Soccer Saturday now.
It’s a goal! Or it might be, we’ll let you know in about 5 minutes……..
Agree, it’s terrible
So true, watching it thinking the same before i saw this.
Football wasn’t broke, granted it wasn’t perfect but it certainly wasn’t broke. Feels broke now.
That’s what I told you guys before it was placed here. The celebrations are never the same and they still make mistakes.
I completely agree Init.
It arrived a bit later here in the UK, but as with all the competitions where it was introduced previously, people are initially mostly in favour it, and then when they see it in action, I think many people change their opinion about it. I’m not saying everyone, but many.
I personally think it’s terrible. And I’m also convinced it’s a first step before you actually get some advertising during these mini-breaks. VAR is evil.
It works better in games where there’s a natural break anyway; cricket and tennis spring to mind. Oddly though it works in Rugby League too, which is more akin to football. Just doesn’t seem to fit for football. Although I suppose if the decisions they were making actually made sense then it’d appear to be more worthwhile. In Rugby League the correct (accepted) decision is arrived at almost every time. Maybe it’s more black and white though, as opposed to subjective. Either way I’m starting to despair! :dash:
The worst thing for me is when it’s disallowed and then those fans celebrate like it’s a goal. It’s awful
I’ve said from the very beginning. I hate VAR!
Bad decisions have always been a part of the game and you sort of excepted it, but when you are going to get poor decisions with Var, then it becomes pointless!
Not watching the games, but mcginn goal disallowed?
Noooo… First Laporte, then Emerson, then Maitland and now Aurier, I just know how to pick them.
:dash:
Aurier – What an idiot!
I am a bigger idiot for having him in my team… so much for rolling my transfer this week
+1 did the same thing
Have Pukki’s goals now totally dried up?
I think he was outperforming his xG, not sure how long more people will keep him if he blanks today.
5 of his 6 goals were at home. I’d hold him for next week at home vs Villa
True. Will live in hope
Think this is gonna be a very very bad weekend.
Unless Ota scores a hat trick tonight..
Is anyone watching the Chelsea game? How have they not scored?
Only four shots on target? :p
