Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 7

Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 7. Your last chance for some FPL points before we go off again on another pointless international break and all your star players get to globe trot like carbon emissions are a thing of the past. GW7 spans just Saturday and Sunday this time and we begin with Spurs on the road (that’s good Spurs then) as they go to Huddersfield at lunchtime. We then have five 3pm kick-offs. None of which look particularly exciting if we are being totally honest! Man United hosting Palace may be for those who captained Lukaku, but then again who didn’t! Hence the lack of excitement…

The best game on Saturday (in theory) is being kept back until the evening and sees the current champs Chelsea host the probable next ones Man City. Or so it seems. You could probably have said the same this time last season. And been proven very wrong. Which makes it just the more intriguing this time.

Sunday is a veritable feast, at least compared to last week! Arsenal host Brighton in the early game, Koeman will hope that Niasse can keep him in a job a week longer in the 2.15pm one and then we round the week off with Liverpool going to Newcastle and the TV companies flogging the possibility of another 4-3 classic. Monkeys and typewriters and all that…

-Hi Mitro and Smash. I have the same dilemma but I have activated my WC.
What are you thoughts. Please feel free to rip it to shreds.

Burnley and Newcastle rotate well so

    Pope/Eliott
Bavies Otamendi Cedric or Cresswell Mee/Mbemba
    Salah Sterling Ramsey (4.5 4..5)
Lukaku Kane Morata or Lacasette or Jesus

This GW all my defence and strikers have scored midfield has done nothing so looking at changing from 442 to 433

Looks decent. You are playing the fixtures, so cant go very wrong.

Will prefer Cedric instead of Cresswell, and would like Naughton ahead of Mee/Memba, since you already have those teams between the sticks.

I like my variety in my defence.

Also, just so you know, Chelsea defenders are about to become very popular after the international break.

Looks good Horse. I’d go Cedric with those fixtures. Jones does represent excellent value like Banjo says. I’m not sure on Sterling as Aguero might even be back for next game

Hey Horse… another abysmal performance by our lot yesterday. Not sure how your funds are, but can you change Cedric or Cresswell to Jones? I think I’d want some United defensive cover in a WC. On the strikers front, provided they’re all fit, I’d be tempted to go with Kane, Morata & Jesus. The funds you’d save without Lukaku could help bolster elsewhere?

Sorry, meant to be a comment on the above post! Agree on the Chelsea defensive comment too!!!

      • Horse says:

Hi Banjo. Not sure what is happening with Pompey. So inconsistent at the mo. If we lose in the fa cup our season could be over in November!!! Mind if we string a few results together the play offs are a possibility. I’ve had DDG so far am grateful for Utd clean sheets. How nailed on is Jones? I agree with scrapping Lukaku. With his 60% ownership getting a higher scoring playing could work a miracle in improving OR. He sounds like he doesn’t play well but manages to score each week! Freeing up the cash will allow a Chelsea defender.

Hi Horse… didn’t our season look over last year in November?! 😉 like you say, string a few results together and anything’s possible. I’d say Jones is about as nailed on as you can get with Jose. Saying that though, I would’ve said the same for Bailly! God knows what happened to him yesterday. Lukaku has looked far from sharp. I don’t know if that’s reason to ditch him or get him though!!

    HI folks, quick question…

Several of my players have had price rises over the last few weeks (Jones, Davies, Micky, Salah, Erik, Kane, Jesus) but it has not changed in my specific fpl squad?

    Why is this?

    Rangerpool says:

    Best option to replace Chalobah?

I have Carrol and 4.6 avalible ITB.

    banjomaker says:

Lacazette looked distinctly average again today. It seems he hasn’t got a clue how to play with this arsenal team yet.
