Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 8.
Six Saturday games this gameweek with Brighton and Spurs getting us going with a lunch time affair. That fixture is followed by four 3pm games. Burnley plays host to Everton, league leaders Liverpool take on Leicester, Norwich tangle with Villa and Watford play Sheffield. In the late game we see West Ham play host to Crystal Palace.
Sunday brings us four more fixtures. Arsenal welcome in Bournemouth, City dismantle Wolves and Southampton battle it out with Chelsea. In the late game we see a Championship preview when Newcastle plays versus Manchester United.

I had Salah captain for this gw and after him blanking and Robbo and Trent not keeping a CS (have both) I thought I was going down in ranks big time given I don’t have Sterling, Kun or PEA. Not sure where I’ll end up in rank but I feel I dodge several bullets today. Like John Travolta and Samuel Lee Jackson on Pulp Fiction when they meet that kid that unloads a gun in their faces but fails to hit them!
Have 2 FT too for good measure!

I would start by selling Otamendi and Aurier and buying Tomori and Lundstram. Cash in a few bucks with that and then reassess the attack.
Really? Chelsea still cant keep a clean sheet and Sheff UTD next 5 games are tough.
Well, neither are City or Spurs are they? And Ota and Aurier are more expensive then Tomori who also has a bonus and attacking returns in him. For me, he’s a no brainer really. Like Mount and Abraham in terms of value.
Lundstram may have tough fixtures but if you watched the game vs Liverpool you have to ask if the ones having a tough game aren’t the ones playing against Sheffield United atm. They are yet to conceed away form home too. Granted his appeal was (even) better when he was 4.0 but at 4.5 he’s still good value.
Anyway, I’m not saying you need to make your defence a priority, it’s just that I don’t think your mids and forwards are that bad and to upgrade say Pukki or Greenwood you are going to need money and thus my suggestions.
A lot of people are considering Vardy. Since he’s only scored in 3 games what are people seeing in him ahead of other similar priced players (ignoring Tammy)
Fixtures and form I would think beaker. Then again this year everything feels like a punt.

I agree. He scored two against a 10 men squad.
Vardy will be a great option in the coming weeks. Leicester are flying and he’s their main man. Burnley which is his next game may not suit him though as they defend very deep
