Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 8

Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 8 and there’s no bigger match in English football to get us under way as Man Utd visit Liverpool. Five 3pm matches follow as Burnley host West Ham, pointless Palace welcome the posh boys of Chelsea, free scoring Man City host Stoke, Bournemouth are this week’s visitors to Wembley, as they try and stop the HurriKane, and the prize for the dullest game of the day goes to Swansea vs Huddersfield. Early evening sees the Gooners make the short trip to Watford. Two matches follow on Sunday – first up struggling Everton get a day by the seaside as they go to Brighton before Southampton welcome Newcastle further along the coast. The Premier League has decided to treat us a 3-day game-week and our Monday Night Football sees Leicester hosting West Brom.

  1. Does the fixture tracker difficulty rating get updated depending on form? Just thinking perhaps Watford should be given more credit?

    • Indeed. The word legend is thrown about very easily these days but he’s a proper legend.

      • How come they didn’t do that ceremony at the match with a full stadium?

        • I don’t know. I was quite surprised they didn’t but I’m sure there was a good reason.

  2. I’m torn. I’d planned Mooy —–> Gross for this week, based on both fixtures on form, but I think City attack is essential. It probably was before this weekend… it almost certainly is now!

So, how about doing Mkhi —–> Silva instead, before price changes?

  3. Played my Wildcard last week, pretty average week so far 44 points with only Vardy left.
Should I save the Free Transfer and what’s the deal with Mbemba?

  4. Is Hazard & Laca to Sterling & Kun worth a 4 point hit? Currently have no City attacking cover.

    • I wouldn’t stop you, banjo, as it could be bloody 8 goals next weekend! However, you’ve done well to get a certain Belgian midget into your team, who will surely explode very soon.

      • I could just go Laca to Jesus, but that shapes my teams direction. Which 3 is better? Jesus, Vardy & Hazard or Kun, Morata & Sterling?

        • Kun, Morata and Sterling I’d say which might mean go with the other option

        • That’s what I’m leaning towards. Thinking of doing the Sterling move tonight to avoid the price changes. Yes, I’m aware that’s a punt!

    • Yes, I’d stick to Laca->Jesus.
You probably have taken Haz quite recently, and he deserves to be tested several GWs…

  5. No turning back now!

    • Suppose I should do the same!

    • Building the team around Rooney? 😉

      • Hey Banjo. I need something to turn my season around. Slipped from 67k to 560k in three weeks. Did my WC this week and managed 28 with simpson & Vardy to go (you will beat me by a point).

I blame Kane. Ever since i brought him in, my season has gone down.

I’m taking a hit this week and bringing in Kun and Jesus.

        • Well let’s hope Vardy and Simpson save our weeks! Do you plan to ditching Kane to allow for Kun & Jesus then? I’m sticking by Kane. He’s actually done good for me. I u-turned on Hazard last night and switched him to Sterling. And pending CL it’ll be Laca to Kun for a hit.

      • Ah, so much for giving Haz other chances then!
Hope you’ll have done the right thing. With City playing as they do, the risk is limited!
