Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 8 and there’s no bigger match in English football to get us under way as Man Utd visit Liverpool. Five 3pm matches follow as Burnley host West Ham, pointless Palace welcome the posh boys of Chelsea, free scoring Man City host Stoke, Bournemouth are this week’s visitors to Wembley, as they try and stop the HurriKane, and the prize for the dullest game of the day goes to Swansea vs Huddersfield. Early evening sees the Gooners make the short trip to Watford. Two matches follow on Sunday – first up struggling Everton get a day by the seaside as they go to Brighton before Southampton welcome Newcastle further along the coast. The Premier League has decided to treat us a 3-day game-week and our Monday Night Football sees Leicester hosting West Brom.

  1. Which 3 players from City would you get if you’re on WC?

    • Silva, Sterling and Jesus for me based on the last few games smile

      • Sterling will be rotated after Kun is back I think

        • Could also be Jesus being rotated? I rmb he was rested for CL game in one of the previous match

  2. How does this WC team look?

    • Can downgrade Otta to Maguire and upgrade another defender of 5.0

      • Yes, maybe Jones+Cedric for Ottamendi+Mee?

        Otherwise, I like very much the team. Wonderful forward line, two top mids, but then money is scarse.
        Many would have preferred Silva+1.5 to KDB, but you probably thought long and hard about that one.

          Kdb is looking insane and lack of United cover but they have 2 difficult fixtures coming but you can’t have it all I guess 😉
          Think I will like to tinker and try with Silva if it gives me better balance in team

        • It looks even better I think, right?

        • Yes, I prefer this team. it looks more balanced.
          I would understand the KdB choice; we all like to have explosive players – especially when they are differential. But Silva is a fair susbtitute, and that gives you two extra solid defenders, instead of fragile 4.5.

          One further drawback of the second team is that it would make it more difficult to change Jesus into Kun (you would only have to do KdB to Silva in your first team), but anyway, I would choose the second team. IMO, it is likely to score more points.

      • Thanks I agree 2nd team looks more balanced amd might just go for it. Re kun and Jesus both play atleast 60 mins and gets subbed sometimes but if Kun is on fire might downgrade defender or Silva to get him

        • bundeena I would keep Jesus until Morata fit , you know what they say about to many eggs 😉

  3. Guys I’m seriously thinking of doing the following: lukaku and Vardy to kun and Morata. What do ye think?

    • Hey man u man is Morata fit if so good moves , you must have spare cash in the bank 😉

      • Hey Silvers. I’m not sure about Morata being fit or not. I’ve 1.5m itb, just enough to those moves for a hit.

    • I am considering the same exact moves. I would have Morata, Kane and Kun.

      • Yep that’s the three I’d have too Raw, any news on morata?

      • Chelsea play Roma on Wednesday in the Champions League so I’d imagine we’ll get an indication then of how he’s doing. Ideally he plays and looks fit and well!

  4. Can anybody RMT. On a WC. Hart is the one I’m concerned with, but fixtures look god and they are starting to play better. I do have 0.1 ITB. Could do grob to Doucoure then will have 0.5 to upgarde Hart. Hemed I realise is suspended but only 1 game left and doubt he will get close to my first 11. Thoughts?

    • I like this team. I’d be inclined to go with Fabianski Over Hart as they have slightly better fixtures, but Hart has good form so it could go either way.
      I would make the Grob – Doucoure move and use the money to try and get Abraham over Hemed, I realise you’ll be 0.2 short for this move so you may have to rob a bank for that, perhaps Otamendi – Stones could be one route to take. Alternatively you could go Grob – Atsu and that would give you the money to turn Hemed into Tammy!

      • Hart has good form? You sure? laugh

        • Well he’s scored 6,6,1,6,9 in his last 5 so pretty good in FPL terms! I don’t rate him as a player mind, I was trying to be diplomatic… but I do prefer Fab over him all day long!

        • Hart is currently in my WC squad. It’s therefore probably best that the rest of you avoid him.

        • Umm now you have got me thinking lol, I already have Naughton so should I go for foster or go with hart? 😛

      • I would worry about Stones with Kompany nearing a return (again). I’m thinking Grob to Doucoure, Davies to Trippier and Hemed to Abraham. Looks like…

  5. This is my current squad… what do you think? I’m feeling pretty good about it!

    I’m thinking of making the following changes over the next couple of weeks:

    – Davies/Tripper OUT, Stones IN
    – Silva/Sterling OUT, Coutinho IN
    (and if I have enough in the bank)
    – Mbemba OUT, Joe Gomez IN

    Thoughts?

    • Makes sense

    • Sterling out as he may make when for Aguero’s return, I’d keep Silva as he seems to be avoiding rotation. You can definatly lose a Spurs defender due to their upcoming fixtures.

      • Since GW3 Sterling has started every game bar one. He was suspended for the game he missed.

      • I completely get where you’re coming from… I had De Bruyne a few weeks back and felt that, as good as he is, 10.0m was a bit too expensive. So I brought in David Silva as I thought he was more likely to keep his place in the team. But to be honest, it’s hard to ignore Sterling since GW2. Sterling’s goal’s return is ridiculous and as Kop said, he’s only not played in the game against Liverpool (that he was suspended for) since GW3.

        To be honest, at the moment I’m finding it harder to decide whether to sell Davies or Trippier… with Rose looking like he’s close to a return and with Aurier’s less than impressive performances so far, I’m beginning to wonder if Trippier is a better pick in the Spurs defence (especially as it’ll save me 0.4m).

    • I wouldn’t feel comfortable telling you to take out sterling or silva based on there current form and the way city are playing!

  6. Gee wiz, my team value is just poor. If I delete my whole team I have 100.5 mil to spend.

    Team value only 100.8. Is this normal?

    • 3 of your players may have went up by 0.1m. Obviously if you sell them you don’t make any money as they need to go up 0.2 for a 0.1 profit.
