Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 8

Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 8 and there’s no bigger match in English football to get us under way as Man Utd visit Liverpool. Five 3pm matches follow as Burnley host West Ham, pointless Palace welcome the posh boys of Chelsea, free scoring Man City host Stoke, Bournemouth are this week’s visitors to Wembley, as they try and stop the HurriKane, and the prize for the dullest game of the day goes to Swansea vs Huddersfield. Early evening sees the Gooners make the short trip to Watford. Two matches follow on Sunday – first up struggling Everton get a day by the seaside as they go to Brighton before Southampton welcome Newcastle further along the coast. The Premier League has decided to treat us a 3-day game-week and our Monday Night Football sees Leicester hosting West Brom.

Afternoon lads, just want to give my two cents on that game and the title race in general. Hopefully spark a debate.

Before that game my thoughts were that the title was going to Manchester, which side I hadn’t decided yet. After the game however, City are clear favourites in my mind. Now I know everyone here will probably say this is Liverpool bias but I’m honesty trying to leave bias out of it.

Everyone was saying United could show why they are title contenders today in this match and I don’t think they did this. City smashed Liverpool 5-0, yes that was against 10 men but City were winning before the red. Today, United’s defence were very scatty and made a few errors. If it wasn’t for DDG and Liverpools poor finishing United would have lost that game by a few goals. As for the United attack…. well the only thing that needs to be said is Gomez =3 BPS and MOTM, Lovren =1 BPS and Moreno =1 BPS!!!! When the Liverpool defence is getting points you knew you were shit. Miki may as well of not been on the pitch, I don’t even remember his name being mentioned tbh, all Lukaku did was nearly get sent off (possible retrospective action coming but honestly not sure), Martial did have a good game in the little bits he could do.

I would love some United feedback on this. Gary Neville even said Liverpool were the better side but there was no mention of whether City were now the better favourites even though before the game Neville was saying United could show why they could win the title.

(If it’s not clear I’m extremely bored and want to spark something 😉 )
