Gameweek 11 is all about balance — five games on Saturday, five on Sunday. Nice and tidy. Almost suspiciously organised for the Premier League.

We kick off with Manchester United’s trip to Spurs (12.30 Saturday) — a lovely short hop for the away fans, just enough time to squeeze in their traditional breakfast of jellied eels before settling in to watch another away-day masterclass in frustration.

Into the 3 o’clocks, and it’s slim pickings for anyone watching via “alternative broadcasting methods.” Everton host Fulham in what promises to be 90 minutes of football, technically speaking, while Burnley head to the London Stadium to face a West Ham side buoyed by their 3–1 win over a Newcastle team who seem to have already mentally clocked into their next Champions League trip.

Things perk up ever so slightly in the evening fixtures with a shock top-of-the-table clash: Arsenal away at the Stadium of Light. Yes, really. Granit Xhaka will be itching to get one over his former employers — though that might be a tall order. Still, it’s a nice day out for the Sunderland faithful, and the city’s cheesy chip vendors will be absolutely minted by full-time.

Following that, at a frankly ridiculous 8pm kick-off, we get bottom-of-the-table Wolves visiting Stamford Bridge. Halloween may have been last week, but for those who enjoy a proper horror show, this could be a bloodbath.

On Sunday, there’s no gentle easing into things — four of the five fixtures drop at 2pm. Neutrals will be spoiled for choice, though “spoiled” might be doing a lot of heavy lifting there. The M23 derby looks the pick of the bunch as Brighton’s Seagulls flap their way to Selhurst Park to face a Palace side sitting just one place and one point above them. Elsewhere, Brentford have what looks like an easy three points against a Newcastle side that breaks out in hives whenever they leave the North East, Villa host Bournemouth, and Forest welcome Leeds in a meeting of “two teams doing their best.”

And then we close the weekend with the main event: Liverpool’s excuse-making manager Arne Slot takes the Reds to the Etihad to face a City side sitting just a point above them in second. This one feels like a six-pointer — though we’ve said that before. Will we get goals? Drama? Or the traditional tactical chess match that ends in a soul-crushing 0–0? Place your bets, people.

The games in full…

  1. This is just ridiculous. Yday west ham scored 3 and bowen nothing. Today a villa score 4, brought in m rogers and he does nothing too!

  2. Bournemouth and Palace both trash and lol at Newcastle, no wonder people were selling the players.

    • Strange. Same player and got this.

  4. Liverpool’ fixtures start looking very good. What Liverpool players should be good assets to own?

    • Szob and vvd. Not touching anything else.

    • I was wondering about Gakpo but in all honesty I would only go for Gravenberch, really due to his low price and 3.8 form, the only other player is Salah but he is just too expensive and is restrictive on a team if you also have Haaland which is pretty much a must own.

I don’t think Liverpool assets are worth touching until Salah goes to AFCON and while he’s away someone decides to step-up, that player would be the one to go for.

      • 100 percent Szobo Terms and van Dijk. Fixtures are just too good.

  5. Disappointed 42pts and 6pts coming from the bench so 48pts in total.
idk I think I made a mistake with King > Sarr boredom

    • You need to stick by your decisions more or at the very least give players a chance. Sarr is awesome. Impossible to show up every game though, with European games in midweek. Think many players (not just from CP) are exhausted. Don’t think CP even rested players. Guehi got injured midweek.

      • I already had Guehi and Marteta, is Sarr one too many?

Also who do I bench, I cannot play 2-5-3 and I have Woltemade on the bench.

        • With the run of fixtures they have, they are all good. But honestly, it’s hard to say with upcoming international break.

And the biggest problem with teams like Crystal Palace but also Newcastle and Aston Villa and Spurs. United look more interesting because they have none.

        • I do think teams like Arsenal, City and Liverpool are better equipped for midweek games.

        • I mean those teams have European games. Multitasking.

    • ugh I just realised Woltemade won’t be coming in as Semenyo is on 0pts as he missed a penalty wiping out his points, so it’s only 1pts coming in from Gudmundsson, and with a total of 43pts this is my second lowest score so far this season, the lowest being 40pts (GW3).

  6. Hahaha, I got Burn off the bench (Burn Baby, Burn!). Top score of 38 pts. I’m goin down, down, down!
    😉
Really don’t know what went wrong.
