Gameweek 11 is all about balance — five games on Saturday, five on Sunday. Nice and tidy. Almost suspiciously organised for the Premier League.
We kick off with Manchester United’s trip to Spurs (12.30 Saturday) — a lovely short hop for the away fans, just enough time to squeeze in their traditional breakfast of jellied eels before settling in to watch another away-day masterclass in frustration.
Into the 3 o’clocks, and it’s slim pickings for anyone watching via “alternative broadcasting methods.” Everton host Fulham in what promises to be 90 minutes of football, technically speaking, while Burnley head to the London Stadium to face a West Ham side buoyed by their 3–1 win over a Newcastle team who seem to have already mentally clocked into their next Champions League trip.
Things perk up ever so slightly in the evening fixtures with a shock top-of-the-table clash: Arsenal away at the Stadium of Light. Yes, really. Granit Xhaka will be itching to get one over his former employers — though that might be a tall order. Still, it’s a nice day out for the Sunderland faithful, and the city’s cheesy chip vendors will be absolutely minted by full-time.
Following that, at a frankly ridiculous 8pm kick-off, we get bottom-of-the-table Wolves visiting Stamford Bridge. Halloween may have been last week, but for those who enjoy a proper horror show, this could be a bloodbath.
On Sunday, there’s no gentle easing into things — four of the five fixtures drop at 2pm. Neutrals will be spoiled for choice, though “spoiled” might be doing a lot of heavy lifting there. The M23 derby looks the pick of the bunch as Brighton’s Seagulls flap their way to Selhurst Park to face a Palace side sitting just one place and one point above them. Elsewhere, Brentford have what looks like an easy three points against a Newcastle side that breaks out in hives whenever they leave the North East, Villa host Bournemouth, and Forest welcome Leeds in a meeting of “two teams doing their best.”
And then we close the weekend with the main event: Liverpool’s excuse-making manager Arne Slot takes the Reds to the Etihad to face a City side sitting just a point above them in second. This one feels like a six-pointer — though we’ve said that before. Will we get goals? Drama? Or the traditional tactical chess match that ends in a soul-crushing 0–0? Place your bets, people.
The games in full…

I’ll hold Gabriel this week and play Roden. Was always planning to play Free Hit week 13 anyway. Arsenal have Spurs and Chelsea. Hopefully he is back for Week 14
Terminators
Gabriel is out for a couple of months I have seen https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/articles/cr7mglv2l1yo
Semenyo seems less serious but I would think they wouldn’t risk him until GW14 when they play Everton at home, he’s not going to play against West Ham and I would have thought they wouldn’t want him to have to travel all the way to Sunderland.
I was so close to doing Timber to Gabriel as well, lucky I went Alderete > O’Reilly.
I am just going to go like this.

Thanks Padster. We’re going to get a hiding anyway, so this might take the edge off the humiliation !

Our bowlers are injured, batsmen out of form, we might only win this series 4-1

As a neutral, I have the poms as favourites 😉

Nice one Padster, I’ll throw a team together!

It’s an odd game. Not picking a team, but 4 players and 4 backups seems daft!

Yes Kop it’s a bit of a lottery, Your back up player will only come in to use if your main player takes no part, just pick and hope they do their job
bundeena bunnies
Ok. I’m in. Picked a team, have no idea about the rules or scoring, will work it out later
The Padster
It was the only one that looked easy to play, I’m not even sure yet, I’ve used this site for EPL predictions for years, then this popped up, once you get used to navigating the site it’s going to be pretty straightforward I hope

Take a bow Travis Head!

Who of Semenyo, Guehi, Enzo are likely to start?
Thanks guys!

Enzo 100%. Just had a rest.
I heard Semenyo was subbed early because he ‘just got engaged’ – no idea what to make of that
Guehi is very doubtful with bone bruising. My guess he will miss this week

It’s a joke – it’s a lottery – it’s a bloody doddle! And I’m in! I seriously dunno who to pick. Good luck to you all – especially since it’s being played in sunny old Perth. Will the Poms melt in the sun, or will they destroy the hastily slapped together, rag-tag Australian team, à la Jardine & Larwood???
Test cricket – it’s such a mystery! 😉

my grandfather always said, the team with the best bowler wins the series.
lets see who the Poms have that can mach Starc?

English bowling unit has started well!!
