We want to begin by simply wishing you all a Happy Christmas and a prosperous New Year. It is of course a busy time for all so the following Live Match Chat will be live for the entirety of the holiday period. The only interruptions will be additions to the Site Team article within the comments of that one and of course the weekly (by GW) H&L comp that shall have its own new article each time. We hope you all have a good one and we shall catch up along the way.

  1. Had a disaster of a week in H@&L, was a grand total of 2 points something. Well thankfully with the pile up , the table will mask how poorly we did in some of the weeks

    • Was a bad week for sure. Need to monitor which teams apart from Arsenal can pick up form again in the second half of the season.

  2. Easy transfer this gameweek. Just 1ft tho. O’Reilly to Gabriel this gameweek. I’ll have double Arsenal defence. Not that bad. Later I want Gvardiol and Rice.

    • Still prefer any playing Arsenal defender over Raya. And I guess Pickford like Raya is expensive… But he has more chances to get me some saves.

  3. I activated my WC. Selecting keane over tarkowski, raya over gabriel and o reilly over m nunes cost me like 35 pts this week. Rank dropped from 32k in gw14 to 117k now. Team such a mess. Gor watkins, Gordon and trossard and cherki as differentials. If palmer finds form plan is to upgrade 1 of the mids and Watkins to dcl maybe.

    • wc team.. struggling to get correct mids. Fed up of saka 5-6 pointers and taking chance on cherki over foden. Not sure on gordon. Any other option?

      • Think you’re a little bit too much in a hurry, personally. Not saying it’s bad but I would have advised you to use your WC later. You’re unlucky with Keane, O’Reilley (I have him as well). Many top teams had Raya, like a lot. I still think the best way into a double Arsenal defense is without a goalie. Timber looks a lot better now Gabriel is back. As for City, don’t know if it’s a one week off with O’Reilley out but Gvardiol had like 4 shots in 30 minutes game time? O’Realley actually flagged in FFF even though Pep said nothing about him, Some rumors he picked up a knock another one that the manager was annoyed with how he played. Anyway, the reason why I’m selling him as well. But Gvardiol would be my main bet at the moment.

        I don’t mind holding Saka a little longer, since he’s the best way into getting Bruno when he returns. Planning to go 3-5-2 in the future.

        • That reassures me Raz, as I was gonna do Timber to Gabriel for free, but have now done O’Reilly to Gabs + Grealish to Garner for a -4, so I get to keep Timber and Gabs. But I have to admit that the waste made me feel ashamed, but I did it while listening to the boys on the FPL Wire programme. That’s 3 hits in 3 GWs for me – Will I get a third red arrow in a row???

        • Yeah. But needed to stop the downward spiral. I am happy with my defence and fwd line. Not coming completely sure on midfield except Rogers. But can always downgrade watkins/ ekitike to get palmer, saka or bruno whoever is fit and in form. Right now premium mids not doing much or injury issues.

          I can also get timber soon but next 2 don’t look easy for clean sheets so i ll wait and see.

        • You don’t need Timber Reg. I’m only keeping him since O’Reilly only played 57 minutes last game and some weird rumors. Your squad is great and better than mine this gameweek.

        • Yeah i could have. But i made total 10 transfers in wd. By downgrading Saka to trossard (Rice flagged had me in doubt) and foden to cherki, other 8 transfers i consider as upgrades.

      • Don’t you mean his 6,7 pointers??? Hahaha – have you seen the latest season of South Park? It’s puerile, but funny as hell!

        • Yeah Trossard my big punt. If he fails or benched, can switch to Rice. Do have 2 FT saved and will save 2 more to change things if needd

        • Reg, you couldn’t get him with a – 4 or – 8? Raya to cheap goalie and Keane to Gabriel was an easy move?

          Your team really wasn’t that bad before, from what I recall.

        • Hey Reg. Awesome. Well looks you made ther right decision. Even though the last two gameweeks didn’t go best, I’m happy with my team. So easy for me to say.

          On that note… A lot of changes with new upcoming players.

          Little lost right now what to do. I think I’ll do Saka to Rice… Was also a plan to have Gabriel, Rice and Saka instead of Timber. But that’s two moves and a hit.

      • Just noticed that Stach actually averages 7.5 points a game at home vs Chelsea, Liverpool, Villa and Palace. Most of the Top 6, so might be worth starting him over Trossard.

        • Early wc success. Rogers and Watkins combine for a goal. Just what i was hoping for.

        • And this is one main reason i used my WC. Decided to get Gabriel at any cost and to do that i had to get rid of Raya who has been useless since i got him few weeks ago.

    • Team looks good, would say you can roll. However, one option could be Wilson or Stach for Minteh if you can keep playing them. A second since Spurs seem to have turned rock solid defensively VdV for Senesi or Mukiele for Senesi or Keane/O’Brien for Senesi. Will probably leave some money in the bank for later use

    • I think I would do Rodon > Gudmundsson sideways but will give you an extra £100k and I would play him over Senesi.

    • I would be tempted to play Minteh and bench Guehi.
