We want to begin by simply wishing you all a Happy Christmas and a prosperous New Year. It is of course a busy time for all so the following Live Match Chat will be live for the entirety of the holiday period. The only interruptions will be additions to the Site Team article within the comments of that one and of course the weekly (by GW) H&L comp that shall have its own new article each time. We hope you all have a good one and we shall catch up along the way.

    • Ekitiké over Woltermade imo and also Gordon instead of Bruno.G, how much money do you have if you make those changes and drop Enzo?

      The problem is, the way you have it now, you have to play Foden & Haaland and also Bruno.G & Waltermade, so you are going to have to decide who to bench from Bowen, Rice, Rogers or Enzo and out of these the only one that doesn’t seem to be performing is Enzo.

      • Gudmundsson is only £3.8m and plays 90min every week and is fine for a bench player, I would be tempted to have over Konsa.

        • Ok, with the changes you mentioned, but have left Szoboshlah and Minteh in, and not put Enzo in.
          Any suggestions for those 2?

        • Just have Verbruggen as GK.

        • Szoboszlai is banned until Jan 1st!

        • Personally I might be super crazy but looking at some more Pool coverage. Their next two fixtures look too good. Think big players will get big hauls.

        • I know szob is banned, but I don’t know who I can replace him with?
          Verbruggen instead of Kelleher?

  3. Ok, started a new post, sorry.
    To avoid scrolling.
    Wildcard active to get the price rises.
    Might need some tinkering after people’s advice.

    • How much money do you have left?

      Just going with the £5.5 McNeil is,
      Man U Casimiro has a couple of nice games coming.
      Notts Anderson is a bit of a differential you could rotate.
      Fulham Wilson the man in demand!
      Newcastle Miley is a great bench player, 90mins and only £4.4m.

      I would get Roefs in goal for Verbruggen tbh and just leave him as your GK, I am planning to get him in in the next couple of GW’s

      • 0m in the bank, so can’t get Wilson. I did want him but not enough, hence McNeil.
        I could get Anderson, but would only leave me 0.1m.
        Getting Mikey will allow for Roefs.
        Is Rogers ideal with his upcoming fixtures?

        • What about Rogers > Cunha, Gordon > Bruno.G does that give you enough for McNeil > Wilson?

          See below comment on Rogers/Cunha.

          I know I have said I prefer Gordon over Bruno.G and I do as Gordon is on Pens but also the team seems better with him, Bruno.G is the captain so there is no rotation risk (he is one YC from a ban though) but he does know how to score goals and even though I am considering Bruno.G > Gordon myself if Bruno.G can pick up the pace a bit more, I think now Gordon is back Bruno.G isn’t going as forward as much as he used to but Newcastle does have good on-going fixtures and he wouldn’t be Sixth in the MID’s if he wasn’t any good.

          So it could work going with Bruno.G enabling Wilson that will save £300k.

          I just want to be honest in regards to Bruno.G and Gordon.

        • Terminators, I can do Gordon -Bruno G and McNeil-Wilson.
          Unfortunately that leaves me with 0m so can’t get Cunha by ditching Rogers unless I ditch someone else

        • How do you feel with that team?

          All solid players and bench with players that are nailed and pretty much play 90mins.

          Are you okay with £0 ITB, from your posts I don’t think you are that keen on the idea, you could drop Richards for Mukiele or Alderete in an emergency though.

          Rogers is good, the next two games are not easy but Villa can beat anyone at the moment and everything seems to go via Rogers, If I had him I wouldn’t be selling him, I (for my team) wouldn’t really want to bring him in with these two next games, a reason why I went for Cunha and also Cunha was because I got in Bruno.F for their fixtures.

          It is your team and you just need to go with your gut.

          I honestly cannot see anything wrong with that team, could it be improved possibly with Wirtz who people seem to be going for currently as they are dropping Bruno.F, both Cunha and Rogers went up last night so really who is going to score more points, Rogers, Cunha or Wirtz over the coming weeks? you can only afford Rogers though.

        • Terminators. Fairly happy. Yes it would be nice to have some money in the bank, but I would be compromising my team in some way by doing so.
          It needs to be strong, and have players that will play. As you say I could always drop Richards to those you suggested.
          I could bring in Curtis Jones for Rogers, but is he nailed on, and is it worth it.
          Wirtz is too much unfortunately

      • Terminators, as a result of Richards getting injured in the cup game against Arsenal, I’ve changed him to Mukiele which gives me 0.3m itb.

        Just need to check on Wilsons fitness for the weekend, but I should have cover for him

        • I don’t know that cup exists and shouldn’t be playing it at this time of year with the schedule as it is.

          Maybe it would be worth dropping to Alderete the stats are very similar, you would then be able to get Roefs as GK and have something in the bank?

        • Roefs in exchange for Verbruggen?
          If I do that it only gives me 0.1m in the bank.
          Keeping him gives me 0.5m

        • Yeah, I just did Petrović to Roefs for a -4pts, it does look like Verbruggen will go up in price soon though being the cheapest viable playing GK.

          Alderete is just the same as Mukiele but cheaper.

    • Rogers xG isn’t even that high and he faces Chelsea and Arsenal next. Wrong week to get him. My honest opinion but I also didn’t expect Woltemade to score twice versus Chelsea, so anything is possible.

      I personally really like the idea of Cunha. Think he’s also on penalties with Bruno out. United are missing some key players though, so some risk. Is involved.

      But if you compare xG and xA, Cunha is looking good.

      • It is why I went with Cunha over Rogers, also because I got Bruno.F due to the fixtures.

        Cunha didn’t do too badly at Wolves where he was pretty much all on his own.

        Who will score more points between Cunha or Rogers is anyone’s guess.

  4. Shout out to Shrivathsa & Terminators who helped convince me to go Ekitike over Bruno last week. Couldn’t have worked sweeter!

    • It’s all about getting the right players for the right games. I’ve had Bruno for 10 gameweeks already. He passed the eye test and also his XG, xA were great before he started really bagging points.

      • Yeah I am a big fan of fixtures tbf. I think I’ll be looking at United after Newcastle. I think Mount could really step into that creative role and get a run purely because they don’t have any other options but I’ll give it that game before I make the call. Jumping on before the hauls are always nicer than on the tail end of them!

    • You are welcome. Thankfully it worked out. Now the dilemma of whether to Captain Ekitike vs Wolves or Haaland away to Forest. .

  5. Who would y’all recommend out of Woltemade and Bowen? Currently have Thiago, Ekitike and Haaland and have the exact cash for Thiago to Wolt. Bowen would require some moves to raise the cash.

    • Have gone with Bowen selling Thiago, he has a good run and probably the only West Ham player immune to rotation.

      • But it is West Ham. Newcastle also have a good run of fixtures

        • I did Thiago > Bowen the other day, I did Waltermade > Ekitike the other GW.

          Bowen has good fixtures, and Bowen is the only one that will score, Waltermade has done nothing for weeks, they also have a couple of other players scoring, Gordon and Bruno.G (I have Bruno.G) they have good fixtures as well, but I had to get rid of one of the Newcastle players and Bowen has more chance to get FPL points than Waltermade imo, Bowen went up in price the other day and Thiago went down.

  6. Hi guys, not been on for a while due to a terrible 1st half of season….looking to bounce back for part 2!

    Haaland/Ekitike/Thiago

    £0.6 itb …I could either go ….
    1-Thiago > Woltemade
    2-Neto > Semenyo
    3-Alderete > Truffert

    What would you do?

    • Woltemade. Has good fixtures and Thiago has slowed.

      Bournemouth have tough games and are in poor form

      Thiago > Bowen
      Cash > O’Reilly
