The Man City vs Palace fixture has finally been confirmed as a blank. They join Arsenal and Wolves to give us our first blank gameweek of the season.
Despite the reduced fixture list, we’ve still got games spread across three days — because of course we do.
We kick things off with Man United’s trip to Bournemouth, where the hosts have become something of an FPL hotspot in recent weeks. If Bruno Fernandes is wearing your armband, you’ll be hoping the early kick-off captaincy curse is just a myth we all tell ourselves after the damage is done.
Saturday brings four fixtures, but — rather cruelly — just one 3pm kick-off. The traditionalists will be absolutely livid. We start with Liverpool away at Brighton in the lunchtime slot, before the solitary 3pm game sees popular captain pick Harry Wilson’s Fulham welcome Burnley to the Cottage.
Into the evening, Everton take on Chelsea at 5:30pm, followed by Leeds vs Brentford at 8pm — because nothing says “prime-time entertainment” quite like that.
Sunday at 2:30pm, and it’s all about the Tyne-Wear derby (well, for me anyway). Newcastle will be looking to avenge their defeat at the Stadium of Light, and perhaps restore a bit of dignity after their midweek embarrassment at the Nou Camp. No pressure.
We then close out the gameweek with two 2:15pm kick-offs — because scheduling consistency is clearly overrated — as Villa host West Ham and Spurs face Forest.

What about DCL for Welbeck against Burnley? That would mean you would have to change out one of the other Brighton players, DCL doesn’t seem to be able to score goals, Welbeck isn’t much better but has been getting the odd goal more recently.

Other dilemma, should I change Perri to Darlow.

Darlow seems to be the main Leeds GK for a while now.
idk DLC and Welbeck are both viable, I have gone for the latter myself, had DCL for a couple of weeks on easy games and he did nothing, so I may just be biased.
Both Brighton and Leeds have good fixtures, the latter not as good the next few GW’s, so you could switch to DCL after/when Leeds play Burnley.
I just cannot see DCL getting anything at Man Utd, the DGW is where you need to look and decide who you think has the most chances to score/assist and tbh it is pretty close, I do think the FA Cup comes into play for Leeds though as they will have their eye on the Chelsea game, Brighton play Chelsea before the FA Cup game, and the latter will have their eye on beating Leeds to get to the FA Cup final.

What is the fascination with Palmer on WC? CHE have been awful and Palmer not exactly shining either. Their DGW fixtures aren’t great either. Please tell me what I am missing? I think Gordon a better pick with a single week. I have Pedro but not enthusiastic about him either.

He is on pens and they have a DGW, he and Pedro are really the only two viable from Chelsea for DGW players as the def doesn’t seem to be able to keep a clean sheet.

I know this. Don’t think it makes them a good choice…waiting for a penalty. Pedro I can maybe go with…maybe.
How often have we jumped on DGW players and got 4 points if we are lucky.

If I were on WC I think I would get him just because everyone else is, idk there aren’t many options.
I don’t have a WC so, I hope everyone buys him and he’s rubbish!

I don’t know what to do here. 1 FT & 2.2 ITB. I have a WC but can’t seem to justify using it. I have 7 with a DGW in 33 already even though 2 of the 7 are my GK. I still can’t seem to find enough value in the DGW matches to want those players in my team permantley. Seems like I could roll it and use 2 in 33 to add addional GW players if someone strikes me. I don’t think I need to WC just to use it. Is that crazy thinking?

Remember if you use your wildcard you won’t lose your transfer, so you can always change it after the BB or FH.
