Last season I started with Solanke and got burnt. Looking at the market, seems like we all are going towards that again. Deja vu.
Spurs cannot be as bad as last season?
I don’t have Solanke myself though!
No clue how Spurs will be… since they have cheap picks and good fixture looking at them —— anyway need to keep an eye on their preseason.
I keep changing from him to Wood / Pedro and back. Joao Pedro was disappointing last season whenever I had him blanking almost all the time. So, thought of Solanke at home vs Burnley, then of course thought the better choice would be Wood.
Yeah, I’ve settled on Wood for now
Burnley had a very strong defence in the championship last year.
While I’d imagine it’s still a somewhat easy win for Spurs I don’t see it being over 2-0.
I’ll be going Kudous myself. 1m less and I think he’ll start most weeks.
Has anyone had issues creating and saving a team on the website as opposed to the app?

Hey HF – hope you’re well. I just checked this out, as I kind of experienced the same thing, but I realized that there’s a double level of confirmation, with ‘Make transfers’ + later, ‘Confirm’. Scroll down after making transfers if it doesn’t appear straight away. I think…!
And the 64 million dollar question…Have you put Bowen into your side yet???

The website isn’t great, they seem to have made it more for use on phones, but a couple of friends of mine are having real issues with it on their phones.

Admittedly, my first draft had a front 3 of Haaland, , Eduoard and Pedro, but now I have Bowen, Beto and Haaland.
Bowen being designated a striker has altered my strategy
Depends on the way you look at it – could be a good thing, or a not so positive thing (less points for goals than when a MID. Etc etc). Go with your heart! 😉
Yeah there is that.
But with so many possibilities for strikers (haaland, Isak, gyokeres and throwing Bowen into the mix) , 4 into 3 doesn’t go.
So I have, for now sacrificed Isak, unless he goes to Pool, then I will need to rejig my squad.
Where is everyone?
People not as active ook this site as they used to be. Peak days are years behind us. Real life probably caught on to many. Normally we used to have a complete analysis of preseason fixtures. But it’s alright..I still don’t chat anywhere else. I do look at articles on other sites though.
Ps. Liverpool is 1-3 down to Milan, in a friendly. Think Slot is testing.
Yeah over the last couple of years I have noticed less people here, I didn’t post much last season I admit, as I had a really bad season.
If we had a new thread for the new season it may help as people would know where to post, also maybe an idea to have the content blocked from view these comments at least to encourage more people to join and thus take part, instead of just visiting and looking at the content.
Maybe to encourage participants, the powers that be could pick one regular every week or two to contribute to the site team or pick it’s captain. Something to encourage participants.
Just opening a new season thread would be smart.
I have setup a team but right now so many transfers going on unlike earlier seasons. Liverpool, manu, chelsea all with new look teams. So i am waiting till 3-4 days before deadline to tinker with team with all these transfers going on
Agreed, a new thread, and maybe a contribution to the site team by a site member souya good idea, or even a poll (as another idea)
Agree with Raziel…just a new season thread. Doen’t need much of a write up.
I have a sort of team but until all the transfers are complete, especially with all the big names like Isak on the move, it is hard to put one together.

Not sure about Reijnders. Also, double up on Villa attack? Most elite managers from last season pick 1, Rogers.
Hmm. Rogers and Watkins did both score in their previous preseason game.

Can’t say this is my first draft. I had Salah in that one. This is my attempt at a draft devoid of either Salah or Haaland. Exploring a BB in the first GW. Thoughts?

Dubravka won’t start…Mbeumo vs ARS and all the AVL vs NEW could be iffy affairs mate. May or may not be worth BB.
