Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Silly Gameweek 26
Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Silly Gameweek 26. Only in England could we have a ‘Winter Break’ in which all teams still play and yet is punctuated (somewhat) with FA Cup replays for four of them. We say good on Klopp for showing them the finger and highlighting the absurdity of it all. Politics aside, GW26 will be held over two weekends, beginning today on the 8th Feb and concluding a week on Monday, the 17th.
There’s an unequal split too, with four games this weekend and six on the next. It makes for an uncertain and very long GW but it is what it is. To make it even more odd we don’t have a single 3pm Saturday game on either weekend. Why? TV, that’s why. They’ve seen the opportunity and taken it; every single game is now scheduled in a TV slot.
We shall stop ranting though and let you crack on with enjoying the longest of long GW’s…
The games in full…

Who are you guys replacing your Everton defenders with? Arsenal, United, Chelsea and Liverpool in next 4GWs. Which is harsh. Don’t see a cleansheet there honestly.
Brought in Lascelles for Holgate. Hopefully a CS here or there.
I’m about to do the same. He should be nailed on every week. Cheap too
I had double EVE, but shifted Sidibe for Jonny. Really wanted Doherty (esp now Norwich regular LB is injured) but was 0.1m short!
Maybe a Wolves defender? Boly if cheap option
Are Arsenal, United and Chelsea that difficult
Not hugely but expect them to concede
Arsenal has always scored at home this season in all competitions, except when City was visiting back in December.
I’m sure you can make a case in favor of Chelsea and United too.
Thanks for insights everyone.
Personally leaning towards Boly.
With his “goal” the other night, I’d side with Boly too.
I’m curious, why the emphasis on “goal” – was it out of pure luck, or?
His goal was disallowed due to VAR.
D’oh yes of course… Game was 0-0  :slaphead:
Yeah, super cheap and great fixtures ahead.
I am about to replace Holgate with Boly and Lascelles.
Villa v Spurs
My last two players this GW are Son and Grealish :rabbi: .
Grealish here for me.
Whenever Arsenal play Newcastle I think of Bergkamp, still in my top 5 ever scored.
Nah that’s awful goal keeping
Son misses!
Poor Bergwijn owners. Lost his assist when Son missed the penalty. Now Son got an assist to his own goal.
Grealish assist and on 3 bps. Nice.
