Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Silly Gameweek 26

Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Silly Gameweek 26. Only in England could we have a ‘Winter Break’ in which all teams still play and yet is punctuated (somewhat) with FA Cup replays for four of them. We say good on Klopp for showing them the finger and highlighting the absurdity of it all. Politics aside, GW26 will be held over two weekends, beginning today on the 8th Feb and concluding a week on Monday, the 17th.

There’s an unequal split too, with four games this weekend and six on the next. It makes for an uncertain and very long GW but it is what it is. To make it even more odd we don’t have a single 3pm Saturday game on either weekend. Why? TV, that’s why. They’ve seen the opportunity and taken it; every single game is now scheduled in a TV slot.

We shall stop ranting though and let you crack on with enjoying the longest of long GW’s…

      Lundstram or Hanley to Stephens?

      • Hanley to Stephens would be a good shout.

        I was thinking Boly but with Dendoncker that blocks a future Jimenez move

    • Vardy out for Jimenez and Maddison out for Son. Another time deal with getting out Holgate. Basic team is fine.

      • For a -4 Bees?

        I was thinking of holding something Leicester for 28 and onwards but you are right they do suck atm…

  3. Init, I feel I am going to fall seriously behind without Son (so many in my ML has him). No way of getting him without 3 trsfs…aarrgh.

    • There is reason to believe that his output will decline in coming GWs. Chelsea, Wolves and ManUtd in next 4.

    • No point ripping your team apart or WC’ing just for one player. We would all like to have everyone but we can’t.

    • I don’t understand why everybody wants a guy who is really expensive, missed a penalty, only scored the other goal because of a very lucky and majorly poor defensive error by the other team, whose next four fixtures are pretty tough, and with two Champions League games mixed in there as well.

  5. Feel like I’ve just been getting across the line with this team lately, nothing special happening! Any moves that need making? Could do Maddison to Son if I downgrade Aurier to a 4.3. Thoughts?

    • Not worth it for a -4 I don’t think. I’d keep Aurier anyway, he’s perpetually threatening. Maybe just KDB to Mane if you can?

    • Shunt Kelly to Stephens(sot). I have Aurier but after today not sure on keeping him. Get Boly instead. I sacked Lunds for him.

  6. Hello all. what do you guys think in City’s future games? I mean, what shall be the plan for their players (like Aguero/KDB)?
