Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Xmas Special GW15+16

Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Xmas Special GW15 & 16.

Given that GW15 begins on Saturday and ends on Sunday and then GW16 starts on Monday we hope you can forgive us for not squeezing in any other articles. In fact they are so closely related we have simply decided to put up a joint Live Match Chat for the pair. Seems lazy, and it probably is, but it also makes sense. Crack on and chat about both, basically.

Not to complicate matters all you really need to know is the following;

GW15 begins at 11am on the 26th.

GW16 begins at 1.30pm on the 28th.

The games in full…

Keep track of all the action, the goals, the talking points, right here at FF247 Live Match Chat, an interactive chat which encourages you to keep involved and share your thoughts and emotions as the matches take place.

Good luck to absolutely everyone for GW’s 15 & 16 from all at FF247!

Thanks for reading Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Xmas Special GW15&16.

I’m not feeling to hot on DCL right now but don’t know who to replace him with. Might just bench vs City and bring in Taylor.

    Please rate my team below
I have 1 FT and 0.3 in bank
Also whom to captain and bench
What about selling Grealish or Zaha or hold the FT

Evening all! How’s everyone enjoying the festivities and football? Have to say, I enjoy the more traditional Boxing Day where we have 90% of fixtures on the 26th. Today felt a bit dragged out and not the usual fun I’ve come to expect!

Yeah it was a bit like any other day really. Less games but they are more spread out

That has been the worst aspect of all of this, from a football POV. Not just this week but throughout it all. TV has taken over the schedule. Saturday at 3pm is now a thing of the past. I used to really look forward to 4 or 5 games all together, much like today whereby, as you say, we would normally be more or less done and dusted in one go. I’m almost at the point of picking transfers based upon which games I know I can watch as opposed to which are the better transfers!

      • Special Agent Dale Cooper says:

So true. My dad and I were saying just this today also.

      • Rosco says:

Yup totally agree, it’s weird but I’ve found myself looking and thinking ‘I’ve got not investment in that game’ or ‘I’m done on that day if I don’t have a player from X team’. Not how I want to be playing at all!

      • Smash says:

From a football POV every game is on tv and you get to watch more of it. That is a bit of an advantage when you have loads of time. From a nostalgia and FPL POV it’s worse because of this. Lose the rush of the 15:00 games as that seems like it’s a thing of the past. Kind of depends which way you look at it

      • Kralin says:

Apparently Boxing Day games were famous for the blue haze that drifted round and above the stands as people smoked the cigar they’d been given for Christmas.

I’m glad I’m not alone in this. I’ve really fallen out of love with football this year. It’s just so relentless with it always being on; I much prefer watching a group of fixtures unfurl simultaenously. Also, I know it’s been said a lot, but with no fans I do find it hard get as excited as I used too.

      • inittowinit says:

You are not alone at all. Unfortunately it has almost become something to do amidst the boredom as opposed to something to look forward to amidst the chaos.

And yes, I agree, the crowds do make a difference. Bit tired of watching glorified pre-season friendlies in empty stadiums with no atmosphere.

I thought there were more games on Boxing day but then being American I second guessed it saying to myself perhaps they always spread out the games. I’d swear in years past that Boxing day was a whole gameweek in itself. Kinda relieved to know that I had not imagined more games in the past.

Would it be worth it bringing in Dier for Zouma, Cresswell or Cooper?
CHE not looking good. WH have great DGW fixture coming.
    Thanks

      Smash says:

Prob still Cooper as he’s injured. Zouma is still a threat despite Chelsea not playing well.

      • AJW says:

Hey there guys, just reading your comments and thinking that I was planning to trade Cancelo to get in TAA or Robbo (ahead of good fixtures + DGW) , but now thinking that maybe it could be Zouma – but have the ‘Minder’ theme song in my head (‘I could be so good for you.’ smile ). I can see no other way to get in one of the L’pool defenders than this. One has to make sacrifices, I guess….but who?

See you round fellas – have a nice festive season! smile

        • AJW says:

Seems a shame cos Zouma is always in the area lurking and waiting to put in a header. He looks so disappointed if he doesn’t get to it. But equally, Cancelo is just so dangerous coming up on that left hand side and crossing – then getting involved in the action. Will see how the Pool lads play today. See you round blokes smile

        • Kralin says:

I’d focus on the DGW. If not wildcarding this weekend then I’d focus each transfer before the DGW on a DGW player (unless you plan to FH in 19). If wildcarding and BB in 19 then I’d cram the side with DGW players (and maybe Son).

You can always get the ones left behind back at some point.

      Kralin says:

I’m looking at Dier or Lloris for my wildcard side. Probably the latter. Wanted Pope so much it hurt but he doesn’t play in 18.

      • AJW says:

Thanks all so much – loved hearing from you all there!
I had forgotten that Chelsea had the DGW, so I should keep Zouma. Thanks for the reality check Kralin! smile

For the rest, shall have a chat to Dave (I think that’s the publican’s name?) at the Winchester!

Seasons greetings and clear heads for the remainder! (Hahaha!) smile

Watkins should have had about 50 points yesterday!

Any way Coufal doesn’t play so I can get Bednarek’s 9 pointer?
