Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Xmas Special GW15+16
Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Xmas Special GW15 & 16.
Given that GW15 begins on Saturday and ends on Sunday and then GW16 starts on Monday we hope you can forgive us for not squeezing in any other articles. In fact they are so closely related we have simply decided to put up a joint Live Match Chat for the pair. Seems lazy, and it probably is, but it also makes sense. Crack on and chat about both, basically.
Not to complicate matters all you really need to know is the following;
GW15 begins at 11am on the 26th.
GW16 begins at 1.30pm on the 28th.
The games in full…

Keep track of all the action, the goals, the talking points, right here at FF247 Live Match Chat, an interactive chat which encourages you to keep involved and share your thoughts and emotions as the matches take place.
Good luck to absolutely everyone for GW’s 15 & 16 from all at FF247!
Thanks for reading Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Xmas Special GW15&16.

Good for you, although you have to imagine he’s a little emotional with that return from 5 players

He’ll probably come good but for now I’m happy. He’s still ahead of me so who’s the fool really?
Gear
I don’t overly like his team, got a feeling you’ll catch him
SAFs_hairdryer
Not this week I won’t. He’s got a 60point start on me
Gear
It’s a long season mate

Wonder who’s laughing now…

Great start to the Gameweek!
Hope everyone had a lovely Christmas!
Trying to figure out what the best move going forward is. I have planned so far to FH 18, and move players in for GW19 (possible BB or TC) not sure if that is the best strat, any advice would be welcome.
Thinking Son is the one to bring in for next GW.. either subbing out Grealish which would be a straight swap or taking KDB out which would give me enough money to also swap Watkins for Vardy possibly?
Thanks in advance!

Please note that I would not take a -4 if I went the KDB route but perhaps there is another alternative to go with instead of vardy etc?
Gallant Pioneer (@MitchellC_FF247)
I think just Grealish to Son would be fine. Watkins is reasonable enough for his price even though they have some tough matches.
I agree that Son is the one to be going for at this point.

Thoughts on Kane? I’m thinking of doing Grealish+Wilson OUT
for:
a) Kane + (Martinelli, Jones, Burke)
b) Son + Rodrigo
Leaning towards Kane to get a penalty taker in. But Son would be for rank protection given his higher ownership.
Kralin
My thought is that I’d get him if FH in 18. If not FH in 18 – which I’m not – then he’s too tricky and I’ll get Son instead. And probably a Spurs’ defender, though not necessarily with this wildcard – may just use a transfer.
I’m finding whilst wildcarding that I barely need to do anything. Get Son. Get a keeper for GW18. Tidy up a non-playing mid I currently have. Very understated and fortunately minimal effort and I don’t even have to do it tonight.

Really want Mahrez to get some returns. Anything is fine
Gallant Pioneer (@MitchellC_FF247)
He’s going to have to play first!

hammerfan_lm
how is this for a GW16 wildcard?
Have taken out Nyland, Bernardo, Kilman, Davis and Grealish to give me extra cash.
What are peoples thoughts on it please
Kralin
Are you adopting the FH in 18, BB in 19 strategy or some other variation?
I was going to get Pope until I saw he wasn’t playing in 18. I was really looking forward to getting him back.
leeboy104
What’s the plan for gw 18 and 19?
hammerfan_lm
Kralin/leeboy = i will be FH in GW18, and BB in GW19
Kralin
Ah, well. I can’t really comment then as that’s not what I’m doing. But if I was doing that I’d imagine I’d load the side up with DGW players.
So with that feeble contribution I’ll let you get on with it.
hammerfan_lm
lol, thanks Kralin. I still have 0.3m left after doing the moves I mentioned.
leeboy104
Get rid of some of them sgw players. Can keep son, but I’d get rid of the rest.
Otieno
I don’t disagree with any of the players in particular but it doesn’t seem particularly suited to BB19 with a bench of e.g. Meslier, Holding, Hodjberg, Fabio.
I would propose something like Johnstone, Dallas, Oriel, Rodrigo for a DGW BB bench
IvanTheTerrible
Hammerfan, haven’t you learnt over the years that those DGW plans never pan out as we’ve dreamt to. The rotations are massive and it’s all pot of luck.
hammerfan_lm
Ivan, thats why I dont want to fully load my team with all DGW players, just in case. I want to put in some SGW players that have some decent fixtures too, like Son for example.
Kralin
Far be it from me to gainsay an elite manager like Ivan, but plenty of DGW have worked out extremely well in the past and the fact that maybe a certain amount of misfortune / rotation / whatever has hit plans previously should not, in my view, deter planning for the looming DGW. They are great opportunities to nab a few points and gain advantage.
If you plan it out carefully you’ll be fine. Just bear the weeks before the DGW and the week after, perhaps, in mind.
leeboy104
It’s fine to have some SGW players with great fixtures like Son for Spurs or some Man City players. Also accept some people will keep players they have transfer value tied up in such as Grealish or DCL. However, I agree with Otieno in that Holding, Hojbjerg, Fabio seem like a waste to include on a WC as they fall into neither of these categories.
Spurs may have good fixtures but Hojbjerg in particular is dreadful in fantasy terms. He doesn’t offer an attacking threat and is overpriced at 4.9. At least trim him and raise some funds to upgrade Fabio.
hammerfan_lm
Thanks all.
I will attempt to re-do my wildcard with the above comments in mind and re-post later.
As regards Hojbjerg – i couldnt think of anyone else at the time to fit in, and with Fabio, just thought, with Jiminez being out indefinitely he would get game time.
But, back to the drawing board for now….
